There were times we thought we’d never get this far, however we are pleased that toilets and kitchen are now operational. With some finishing touches, including washroom accessories and painting internally, and rendering, roofing and painting externally, we can now see a light at the end of what seemed like a very long tunnel!

Recent building work has included the removal of the chapel gable wall render to repair existing cracks in the stonework, as well as the fitting of plasterboards, the rendering of walls, the installation of a new electrical system and the self-levelling of the floors. We are making good progress, with a completion date of August 31st.

Further progress continues to be made, with the old roof now fully removed and new trusses arriving today. These will be fitted over the next few days, so work can progress internally, from plumbing and electrical to wall and floor coverings. Externally, the gable wall will be repaired before the new roof is completed, plus new drainage and slabs will be installed down the side alley of the chapel. Lots going on, so let’s pray for dry weather! 🙏

The building project continues to move at pace (although it’s never quick enough 😂) with the creation of a new doorway from the hall to the new toilet/office block. A temporary structure has been put in place to minimise disruption and dust, but we are thankful that the kitchen/ counter/ hall facility can still be used.
