Let us pray to the Eternal God - With our songs and music we praise you in our worship services. We thank you for the music that moves us and the words that edify us; the hymns accompany us into every day life.
Inspire the musicians when they play in worship, fill our hearts with beautiful hymns and give new composers heavenly melodies and gospel words.
So our praises join those of your heavenly court and sing of your greatness, your love and your faithfulness.
Alleluia, Amen!

Gracious God, we thank you for the people, past and present, who have sung songs telling of their experiences of your grace and forgiveness. Forgive us that familiarity dulls our sense of awe and wonder. We so often don't hear the story of your love in action, how your grace is available to all; death and resurrection, our gateway to eternal life.
We are called to sing new songs relevant for people today, telling them our stories. May we be bold enough to move beyond our own circle, that we like the psalmist, can proclaim that the Lord, by grace, saved us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

The day returns and brings us the petty round of irritating concerns and duties. Help us, O Lord, to perform them with laughter and kind faces, let cheerfulness abound with industry. Give us to go blithely on our business all this day, bring us to our resting beds weary and content and undishonoured, and grant us in the end the gift of sleep. Amen

O Lord, give me the patience that throughout this day I give myself time to greet others cheerfully along the way. Give me joy and optimism and an uncomplaining voice. Creator God, we adore you.
All creation reflects your glory.
You have made every person in your image.
You welcome those who are vulnerable with open arms of compassionate acceptance.

Redeemer God, we adore you.
All creation is bound together in you.
Where the weak and broken lie bruised and discarded, you challenge the complacent, revealing the truth behind our lies and invite the wounded to your feast of life.

Sustainer God, we adore you.
All creation is inspired by you.
You breathe life into places of deathly fear; you increase our understanding of things hard to comprehend and draw us into your dance of loving joy.

God, three in one, all creation sings of your great deeds. And we lift our voices in gratitude and praise. Amen
