NOTICES - CHURCHES OF SUTTON HILL & WOODSIDE – 24th May 2026
All are welcome this Sunday morning at Sutton Hill Church at 10.30am for Café Church as we celebrate Pentecost. This week please come in and start the activities and help yourself to a drink, fruit & snacks. Doves, flames, colouring and a quiz everything you would expect at Café Church. We will then come together at 11am to think about all that Pentecost is to the church with as story Out of the Box.
NEXT SUNDAY
ARCHDEACON SAM is going to be joining us for our morning worship next Sunday 31st May 2026 at 10.30am. I hope you can come along to the service to welcome her to the diocese as well as sharing what we get up to in Sutton Hill and Woodside.
WOODSIDE
Do come along and see me at the Park Lane Café on Wednesday morning 9.30-11am. Last week we had our first Prayer & Praise Evening which we decided would be great to start to have more often, so watch this space. More information on the noticeboard at the Park Lane Centre and Facebook. The next 2 diary dates for Messy Church are 10th June and the 15th July.
SUTTON HILL
Little Fishes and Craft for charity are not on this week as it is bank holiday this Monday. Everyone is back on Monday 1st June.
Learn Telford is hosting some courses over the next few months here in church as well as other venues in South Telford. Have a look what’s on, posters on the notice board, either have a go or let people know they are going on. The next 2 courses at Sutton Hill are Watercolours for Beginners
and Introduction to Child Behaviour
MUDDY HALF TERM
This half tern we are joining forces with Madeley Town Council in the orchard of Friday 29th May 1pm-3pm. Come along and do our Muddy Trail, join in with the story of David & Goliath, play games and sing-a-long. No booking required just remember a hat and suncream!

DATES FOR THE DIARY
CRAFT FOR CHARITY are holding an event on the morning of the 6thJune. Please tell you friends who love to knit and crochet as e have a get together and race to see how many 6 inch squares we can make in a morning.
Can’t knit or crochet then think about buying a ball of Stylecraft DK wool by going to Allsorts in Madeley where Julie is kindly collecting wool donation.
IT’S YOUR MOVE
This year we are again welcoming 5 of our primary schools to St Michael’s Church at the end of June for the It’s Your Move Year 6 event. Please pray as we start the preparations. If you have previously helped at this or Experience and would like to help again then we will need volunteers on the 23rd and 25th June 12 noon until 2.30pm. You will be group leader to help a small group of Year 6 children to help them around 4 simple activity stations. Don’t worry if you don’t feel confident to lead a group on your own, on previous years we have made 2 people group leader to support each other. To help at this event you will need a DBS and we will also have a training day to share the activities and what to expect. If you are interested in helping on either or both these days then please contact Dawn.
