It was lovely that on this Mothering Sunday, the day started better than it's finishing (bright and sunny, before the gloom, wind and rain pulled in!).
We had a lovely service this morning, with potted flowers given out, and also the opportunity to light a memory candle for those who wanted to. We prayed for those for whom this day is difficult, perhaps due to not being able to have children, or being a single parent, or having lost one's mother - there are many reasons why it might be a hard day, but we marked it together, giving thanks to God that whatever our circumstances, he loves and cares for us. And afterwards, we enjoyed the delicious, traditional simnel cake 🍰

As Christmas Eve fast approaches, we have two service options for you: a family friendly Christingle at 4.00pm, and a more traditional Midnight Holy Communion, which starts at 11.15pm. We look forward to seeing you!

We will soon be commencing our new season of concerts in church. This coming SATURDAY, 20th September at 3.00pm, we have the first of our third concert series.

We will be welcoming several musicians who will be playing classical pieces as well as some jazz favourites.

Tea and cakes will be served afterwards.

There is no charge for this concert but any donations will be much appreciated.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
