This Sunday, Rev Carolyn walked us through Philippians, challenging us to live in this world 🌍 as citizens of heaven—and to do it together in perfect unity.

Think of unity of church like a fruit salad 🥗 each fruit has its own distinctive characteristic, but without even one of them, the salad would never be the same! 🍇🍓🍍We all play a part when we keep the same focus on Christ. ✝️

We had a wonderful Encounter Sunday service! Our guest speaker, Sally Stockbridge, brought us powerful teaching and was followed by a yummy potluck lunch! 😋🍴

We can often have two sides to our personality. Sal reminded us that even Gideon, God’s great warrior, struggled with faithfulness to his family. While we want to walk in wonder and miracles, our past wounds can sometimes dictate how we treat others today. 🎭🫵🏻

May God heal our hearts so we can work together in unity, love, peace, reconciliation. Let’s bring that spirit of unity into our churches and be a blessing to the people around us. 🕊️✨

🌱 LIVING IN CHRIST ✝️

God works through our circumstances, even when they are far from enjoyable. When difficulties hit, what is your first thought? Is it frustration? Or is it like Paul’s: “How can Christ be glorified through this?”

✨ God uses imperfect people. His purpose is always bigger than our imperfection.

✨ He finishes what He starts. The setbacks you face are actually part of His plan.

✨As Paul said, "For to me, to live is Christ." When we shift Jesus to the center of our lives, our circumstances lose their power to define us.

(And on a side note... Go England! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽️😆)

💪🏻 CONFIDENT IN CHRIST ✝️

How do we know we are in true partnership with God in the gospel? Paul shows us how through the book of Philippians:

❤️When we receive Jesus' love, it naturally pours into others.

🔄 When God works within us, our hearts soften toward those around us.

🗺️ When our plans fail, we trust that God has a better idea in His mighty mind.

What God starts, He finishes. Even if it takes a detour, He never let go of our hands🚸

Through the book of Jeremiah, we are reminded of three powerful truths:

❤️ God cares deeply for His people
📝 God has a plan for each of us, no matter our status
👍 God’s plans are good

We have experienced this at St George’s Church Tolworth. Through prophetic words and inspiring visions, God has guided our parish journey. 🔥⛲️Let’s continue to partner with God and persevere together. 📖🙏
