Are you down trodden and weary? Burdened and feeling crushed? One place you can’t go is Mount Sinai! This is the mountain of the un-mediated God, and it spells bad news for us!

This is the mountain we’ll linger at this coming Sunday morning in Exodus 20. What’s with the thunder and fire? Why the trumpet and fear? And what does this have to do with the gospel? These are some of the questions we’ll consider. And what we’ll find is there’s a vast difference between the law and the gospel, Mount Sinai and Mount Calvary. One mountain leads to fear. The other to hope, rescue, forgiveness and delight.
