Thursday, 28th May 2026 was the centenary anniversary of the death of Sir James Cantlie, one of Cottered's most extraordinary residents. As a physician and surgeon he gave his life to public service not least in helping to establish good practice in First Aid. You can learn more about his life by coming along to see the exhibition in Cottered Church (SG9 9QA). The exhibition will run until May 2027. May he rest in Peace.

Discover St George's, Anstey, one of the 28 churches within our Deanery of Buntingford. This C12th ecclesiastical gem is home to a unique font surrounded by mermen, and a commemorative window that remembers those who lost their lives flying from Station 131, Nuthampstaed in 1944-45.
