Book your spring booster if you or someone close to you in vulnerable.

For those who are vulnerable spring boosters are available. You don’t have to wait to be invited.

A couple I know aged 74 both went yesterday as one of them is high risk. Both were given the booster even though the other is not vulnerable.

They got the impression they’re not turning anyone away if they can make a case for needing the booster.

You just need name, age, address and postcode.

You can book for others if they struggle with tech etc.

So get to a centre if you’re
•Vulnerable OR
•Close contact with someone vulnerable

and it’s 3-6 months since 3rd/booster

Friends of Pendas Way - Next Volunteer Day

Saturday, March 19th
10:00am-12.30pm
Meet on the grass opposite John Smeaton Sports Centre.

They will be finishing the dead hedge which was started last month to shelter the bulbs and other wild flowers that were planted. Also, if there are no nesting birds in the area, they will modify the footpath to remove some of the awkward slope near that end.

Don the coordinator says
"If anyone is on the path in the twilight, please could you look out for bats? I'd like to know if there are any there. It's possible that we could organise a bat watch event one evening if there are some to be seen"

Provisional Dates for 2022 Activities.

Sat 19th March: Finish the dead hedge. Possibly clear some undergrowth to extend path line.

Sat. 16th April: Tidying and perhaps some cutting back of brambles and nettles
