Little Fishes Toddler & Carer Group

Hello you lovely lot - Kate here!
Hope you are all well?
I have have had lots of messages recently asking about wether the toddler group will be opening up in September so I just thought I'd update you.

It's with great sadness that I have to inform you that as of last night Sunday the 22nd the Methodist church at St Georges held its final service and closed its doors for good. Times have been hard for us all and this was no easy decision. This means all groups run from the hall will cease to meet there and that our lovely church run toddler group will be unable to meet again.

It was an honour to be asked 8 years ago to run and set up this group which with its many wonderful volunteers went from strength to strength and provided you all with such a lovely environment to socialise your children and build lasting friendships. Thank you to all of you whom attended over the years. We wish you all the very best.

We would like to make you all aware that a few weeks ago we have had confirmed cases of Impetigo diagnosed after being at our group.
So please read the information below.

If your child has suspected Impetigo, we would ask they please remain away from Playgroup until 48 hours after you start using the medicine prescribed by your GP or when the patches dry out and crust over (if you do not get treatment) to prevent further cases.
As a group we have adopted the Health Authority guidelines on exclusions for infectious illnesses meaning that children should not be brought to the group within 48 hours of the last episode of a stomach bug and if they have contracted chicken pox, they should not return to the group until it has all scabbed over.
Also in lite of recent events regarding the Coronavirus please could you encourage your children to wash their hands before snack.
The Department for Education have launched a new helpline to answer questions about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:

Impetigo is a skin infection that's very contagious, but not usually serious. It often gets better in 7 to 10 days if you get treatment. Anyone can get it, but it's most common in young children.
