Our first Mission Area Gathering is an opportunity for us to come together and begin exploring what it means to be God's people on mission in our communities.
Inspired by the story in Luke 10, where Jesus sends out the seventy and then welcomes them back to share what they have experienced, we will reflect together on where the light of Christ is already shining and where God might be calling us next.
This is ๐ฃ๐ค๐ฉ ๐๐ฃ๐ค๐ฉ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ช๐จ๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐จ ๐ข๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐. There will be no governance agenda or reports to work through. Instead, everyone is invited to join in a shared conversation about mission.
The evening will follow a simple journey:
๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ง - over tea, coffee and cake, with an opportunity to continue the conversations around the church blocks
๐๐ค๐ง๐จ๐๐๐ฅ - a short act of worship
๐๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ฃ - to the story from Luke 10
๐๐ญ๐ฅ๐ก๐ค๐ง๐ - through conversations in small groups
๐๐๐๐ง๐ - bringing our conversations back together
๐ฟ๐๐จ๐๐๐ง๐ฃ - asking what God might be saying to us
๐๐ค - with prayer and blessing
