🎙️ **Got a question you've always wanted to ask a priest?**

Perhaps there's something you've wondered about faith but never quite felt brave enough to ask.

Maybe it's something about the Bible.

Something about prayer.

Something about church.

Something that doesn't quite make sense.

Or perhaps you've simply thought...

"Why on earth do Christians do that?" 😂

Whatever it is, we'd love to hear it for our Quick Fire Question section in our Podcast **The Resurrection & The Rest**. This is a place for honest questions, thoughtful conversations and exploring faith without expecting anyone to have all the answers.

So this Theology Thursday, we're opening the floor.

Our annual pantamine is returning and we would like to welcome you to join us.

So if you're keen to tread the boards, help out backstage, support with lighting/set/set building or even just volunteer your time on the evening we'd love to hear from you

So come along if you'd like to be involved in anyway and as always, I'll imagine they'll be a cuppa in it for you too.

🙏 **A little pause in the middle of your Wednesday**

The week is underway. The to-do list is probably still growing. There are places to be, people to see and plenty of things that need doing.

So before you rush on to the next thing, take a moment.

Breathe.

Be still.

And remember that God is with you, right here in the middle of your ordinary Wednesday.

**A prayer for today:**

Lord,
meet us in the middle of this week.

Where we are tired, give us rest.
Where we are worried, give us peace.
Where we are uncertain, give us courage.
Where we are joyful, help us to give thanks.

Help us to notice the small blessings around us and to remember that we do not walk this journey alone.

Amen. 🕯️

The generosity we've received has been genuinely incredible - and it's wonderful to see our church family and wider community coming together to support such an important cause.

After the brilliant success of our annual parish quiz on Saturday, we've been having a little think...

And we've decided that **one quiz simply isn't enough.** 😉

So we're delighted to announce our very first:

🐟 Fish & Quiz Night 🧠

➕ BYOB - Bring Your Own Beverages

We're still putting all the details together, but we can already promise an evening of good food, good company, plenty of questions and, hopefully, a few moments of "I definitely knew that!" 😂

Whether you're a quiz champion, someone who confidently writes down completely the wrong answer, or you're just here for the Fish & Chips... there will be a plaice (😉🐟) for you.

Bring your friends, family, neighbours and your competitive spirit.

✨ **motivational monday** ✨

“New beginnings rarely feel easy, but they’re often worth it.” ❤️

And this Monday, we’re putting that thought into practice as we launch our brand new **Mini Mondays baby and toddler group!** 🧸👶

Starting something new can feel a little daunting, can't it?

Walking into a new room, meeting new people, wondering if your little one will settle, or even just finding the energy to get everyone out of the house on a Monday morning! 😂

But sometimes, the best things begin with simply showing up.

Mini Mondays is all about creating a warm, welcoming space for little ones to play, explore and grow, while giving grown-ups the chance to connect, have a cuppa and meet other local families.

Whether you're a first-time parent, a seasoned toddler wrangler or somewhere in between, we'd love you to come along!

You don't need to know anyone. You don't need to have it all together. And nobody expects you to arrive with perfectly dressed children and a pristine changing bag. Let's be realistic! 😉

Just come as you are, bring your little one and let's make some lovely new memories together.

Because every new beginning has the potential to become something wonderful. And who knows? This could be the start of some lovely friendships, for both the little ones and the grown-ups. ❤️

🌾🍎 **harvest festival at st. george’s** 🍎🌾

It's that wonderful time of year when we come together to celebrate Harvest Festival and give thanks for the food we enjoy, the people who grow it and the blessings we sometimes take for granted. ❤️

But Harvest is also about sharing what we have and looking after those in our community who might be finding things a little harder.

🙏 **We'd love you to join us for our Harvest Festival Service!**

As part of our celebrations, we're inviting everyone to bring along donations of **non-perishable food** to help support people in our local community.

Tins, packets and other cupboard essentials are all very welcome. Every little donation can make a difference to someone who needs a helping hand.

You don't need to be a regular churchgoer to join us. Whether you're a familiar face or thinking of coming along for the first time, you'll receive a warm welcome.

Let's celebrate the harvest by sharing its blessings. 🌾

💚☕ **SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY – WHAT AN AMAZING SUCCESS!** ☕💚

Today, we’re shining our spotlight on the incredible success of our **Macmillan Coffee Morning!** 🌟

What a wonderful morning of community, friendship, delicious cakes and, most importantly, supporting such an important cause. 💚

We are absolutely delighted to share that, thanks to your incredible generosity, we have raised **OVER £1,000 in donations!** 🎉👏

A huge, heartfelt thank you goes to **Margaret, our wonderful organiser**, for all her hard work, time and dedication in bringing everything together. Your efforts have helped make this such a special and successful event. 💚

But an event like this takes a whole community, and we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who played a part:
🍰 Everyone who baked and donated cakes and other delicious treats.
🥪 Everyone who contributed food and refreshments.
☕ Everyone who served, welcomed people and helped make the morning so enjoyable.
🪑 Everyone who helped set up beforehand and clear everything away afterwards.
💚 Everyone who donated, came along, enjoyed a cuppa and supported this wonderful cause.

Every donation, every cake, every helping hand and every friendly smile made a difference. It was truly heartwarming to see our church family and wider community come together to support Macmillan Cancer Support and the vital work they do for people affected by cancer.

**Over £1,000 raised, countless cups of tea and coffee shared, and so much kindness shown.** What an achievement! 💚

From all of us at church, thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. You have given us so much to celebrate, and we couldn’t have done it without you!

🧸✨ **something new is arriving on mondays!** ✨🧸

Calling all parents, grandparents, carers and little ones! 👶❤️

We are SO excited to introduce **Mini Mondays**, our brand new baby and toddler group, starting this Monday at The Church Of The Resurrection!

Whether you have a tiny newborn, a curious crawler or a toddler who seems to have discovered how to move at the speed of light 😂, we'd love to welcome you.

Mini Mondays is all about creating a warm, friendly and relaxed space where little ones can play, explore and make new friends, while grown-ups can enjoy a cuppa, have a chat and connect with other local families.

Because let's face it, parenting is a wonderful adventure, but it's even lovelier when you've got people around you who understand the joys, the chaos and the occasional cold cup of tea!
