Project Access: Removing barriers, welcoming all

We have plans to make improvements to St Agnes Church to help us welcome more of the community into our beautiful building.

To find out more about the project and how things will look, we are holding a project launch day in church on Saturday 19th September between 10am and 4pm.
The church will be open, there will be food and drink available, live music throughout the day, church tours highlighting interesting aspects, and a huge information board showing the plans.
Music will include @ 10am St Agnes Silver Band, 11am Salt and Sky, 1pm Rhys Nightchurch pianist, 12 and 2pm St Agnes Folk Band and 3pm Organ recital by Clive Ellison.
We hope this day will inform, excite and inspire. So please get the date in your diary, invite others, and come along.

The Jopes Ensemble have a great reputation for their professional classical music concerts in Cornwall, so its great that they have chosen to perform in St Agnes Church.
Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos are a collection of six instrumental masterpieces written in 1721 and sent to a German nobleman as a fancy musical job application. Think of them as a "mix tape" or a sample pack of the coolest sounds you could make with an 18th-century orchestra. There will be many familiar tunes as they have been used in countless films and TV shows, including the title music to Antiques Roadshow.

Concert is on Friday 9th October at 7.30pm
BYO drink if you wish

Huge thanks to our wonderful chef Steve for cooking such tasty food, and to all those who brought so many tempting desserts.

Our next concert in St Agnes Church is with John Dowling, who some of you will have seen perform with Will Keating.
'John Dowling is an award winning Banjo player. At the age of 18 he won the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award with his duet The Black Cat Theory.
At the age of 21 he became the first non-American to win the USA National Banjo Championships held in Kansas.
Raised in Cornwall and deeply rooted in Cornish culture, John has spent his life sharing music that moves the heart and lifts the spirit.
He is widely known for performing alongside Cornish singer Will Keating, bringing the vibrant sound of the Banjo to audiences across Cornwall and beyond.’
