The Glory realm

So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT

Purposefully Impacting Friendships✨

God gives us a calling in friendship to sharpen others and so that we can be sharpened as well. The process of sharpening a tool generates an abrasive action to make the tool perform better.

Solomon exemplifies what right relationships are instrumental in making us perfect, honing our gifts and fine-tuning the rough edges.

The prophecy of Jesus in Isaiah 40:4-5 that Jesus confirmed Himself says that the Messiah will come to straighten the curves and smooth out the rough places, in furtherance, reveals the glory of God in us.

Are you the sharpener? Do you have friends who are sharpener? Do you heed to sharpening?

Purposeful Sharpening:
👉🏽Encourages in faith: Two are better than one when one falls the other helps the other up (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). Encouraging friends is important, not only encourage with just words but also in prayers. Consequently improving each others faith-walk.
👉🏽Integrity: Open rebuke is better than love concealed (Proverbs 27:5). Never conceal the truth, a friend who rubs your ego with a lie will negate your destiny walk. Nonetheless, the truth must be said in love and not aggressively (Ephesians 4:15). Remember, not what's said but the delivery.
👉🏽Reliable: Consistency in who and what one represents.
👉🏽Accountable: Recognises when wrong and apologises.
👉🏽Supportive: Genuinely wants to see the other win and does everything possible to make it happen.
👉🏽Vaults to Privileged Information: People should be reassured that the information you have of them is off the record.
📌They are not in unhealthy competitions, comparisons and Insensitive.

To receive an impactful sharpening requires a purposeful sharpener. A man that hath friends must show himself friendly...(Proverbs 18:24). Also importantly, the measure of receiving and reaping guarantees how much you're giving and sowing (Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:6).

The Lord has started this work. However, ideally continues by people - friends, family and sometimes enemies. Some tools take longer to sharpen than others, so it differs individually. This process requires patience, both on the part of the sharpener" and the sharpened".

Keep praying and believing

‘Pray without ceasing.’

1 Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV

During his lifetime, nineteenth-century British evangelist George Müller ‘prayed in’ more than £5.7 million to feed the orphans in his care – more than £86 million in today’s terms. He didn’t believe in broadcasting his financial needs, yet he always had enough to pay his grocery bill – because God supernaturally provided.

However, Müller’s faith was stretched in other ways. For example, he prayed regularly over a list of five men he earnestly desired to see won to Christ.

The first man gave his life to Christ after five years, the second and third after ten years, and the fourth after twenty-five years. But here’s the clincher: Müller prayed for the fifth man’s conversion for a whopping fifty-two years! In fact, the man made a profession of faith in Christ a few months after Müller’s funeral.

Would you pray about something for fifty-two years without some visible sign of an answer? You should, and you must!

In Müller’s own words: ‘God delights to increase the faith of His children. We ought, instead of wanting no trials before victory, no exercise for patience, to be willing to take them from God’s hands as a means. Trials, obstacles, difficulties, and sometimes defeats, are the very food of faith.’

If you’re praying and asking God, ‘Will You?’ His answer is, ‘I will!’ Psalm 91:15 tells us, ‘He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him’ (NKJV).

And in Jeremiah 33:3, God says, ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know’ (NKJV).

So the word for today is – keep praying and believing
