GROW THAT YOU MAY NOT LOSE SUFFICIENT GRACE Colossians 3:1-17 Titus 2:11-14; 2 Corinthians 1:9
INTRODUCTION: God’s grace is sufficient for us to overcome flesh and Sinful situations, Demonic attacks, financial needs, relationship issues, grief, Loneliness, Fear, Mental, physical, spiritual health issues. It is sufficient to survive pain. To empower us for ministry to establish our security and to fulfil our life callings to know God and to make Him known (Exodus 9:15-16)
THE FACTS OF SUFFICIENT GRACE
· Sufficient grace is a gift from God Romans 11:6
· Sufficient grace is a product of God’s plan for our redemption Isaiah 43:1, Isaiah 59:19
· Sufficient grace is always accessible
REMOVE THE LEAVEN Matthew 16:6, I Corinthians 5:6
As wonderful as grace is and as good as sufficient grace is, sin is a reproach. Prov. 14:34, Romans 6:1 When we sin, we become separated or alienated from God. We need to avoid bad habits and lifestyle to enjoy sufficient grace.
GODS CALL IS FOR US TO GROW IN UNITY
Christian growth is not something that automatically takes place because we receive God's Spirit. It occurs because we take measures to make sure it happens. Ephesians 4:16 The Bible distinctly names growing in unity, maturity, stability and love, all of which result from applying ourselves in God's way.
HOW TO GROW IN GRACE - The Christian Obligation Colossians 3:1-17
Seek those things which are above
Set your mind on things above
Put to death your members
Do not lie to one another
Put on tender mercies
Bearing with one another, and forgiving
Put on love
Let the peace of God rule . . . and be thankful
Let the word of Christ dwell in you
Do all in the name of the Lord Jesus
CONCLUSION: Titus 2:11-14 describes this obligation thrust upon us as a result of receiving God's grace. Sufficient grace is to make grow and develop till we reach the level or standard that wants us operate in. When God talks about growth, He means increasing in His attributes, the qualities that will conform us to His image. Romans 8:35-37 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
