‘Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.’ 1 Corinthians 14:1. Encouraging morning with great teaching on the gift of prophecy. Over 30 people hearing, discerning and sharing. Thank you to Keith and all who contributed. God is good!

Fantastic to be joined by Ian McDowall from Tough Talk at our Men’s Breakfast this morning. Great food, great fellowship and a powerful testimony.

As a mark of the years of dedicated (and sometimes unforgiving) service with the church’s hospitality team, Sue Baul was presented with gifts and a specially prepared cake during our service this morning.

Sue and husband Graham are soon to be moving to the West Country to be closer to their family and so will be living the CoGS after more than a decade with us.

Whilst the church family will formally “send them off” next week, this was something that her friends and fellow volunteers wanted to do for Sue especially.

Great time at Kingdom Builders this morning. Theme was ‘parable of the sower’. Young people were encouraged to build something that was on their heart.

40th Years in Ministry:

This morning the CoGS family marked the occasion of the Revd Keith Turner's four decades in licensed ministry in the Church of England.

Starting out as a lay preacher (which he combined with a career in banking), he progressed into full time ministry; first at St John & St Matthew's Church, South Hornchurch, before joining the team here at CoGS.

The CoGS family are blessed by Keith's powerful, and spirit-filled ministry. Long may it continue!

A great first session last week. If you missed it, but still want to join in - no problem. We meet again this Wednesday 23rd 7:30pm, exploring the question ‘why did Jesus die?’ Stay Curious.
