A big thank you to everyone who supported the Church Fete on Saturday.
Many thanks go out to all the public who attended the fete and created a wonderful atmosphere, the volunteers who have given up many hours of their time organising every last detail, the local producers who brought products for you to purchase, The cake makers for making wonderful cakes for people to enjoy with a cuppa, The Pipsqueakers and Eva for entertaining us all afternoon, Micka for keeping the children entertained, and all the people who came on the previous Saturday with so many donations for the various stalls.
We must also say a great big thank you to all the local businesses that supported the fete with a whole array of wonderful Raffle prizes which made the raffle very popular.
Nick from Rockwealth who made a donation which covered the the cost of hiring the parish hall and the printing of the flyers, posters etc, Rockwealth is based in the village in Wyvols court, Nick was a guest expert on the Martin Lewis' money program on pensions a few weeks ago, he is a local and Independent Financial Planner and specialises in helping people with their retirement planning and also planning for Care Fees, please do listen to his podcast ' www.RetirementLounge.co.uk
As a community we are now busy with the Swallowfield Show, a wonderful two day show on the 30th and 31st August, each year there is plenty to entertain you and keep everyone contented for the whole two days, this year is no exception, with some amazing entertainment bookings, a booking already received for the Exhibition marquee and all the trade, craft and food pitches as good as sold out, a show which is getting more and more popular every year, www.swallowfieldshow.co.uk
