๐Ÿ“– Key Scriptures: Job 33:14-18 | John / Jean 10:1-5

Pastor Yogesh began a powerful new series on learning to recognise and discern the voice of God.

The Bible reminds us that "God speaks again and again, though people do not recognise it" (Job 33:14). God is always speaking, giving warnings, instructions, direction, and encouragement to His children.

Through Job 33, we learned that God speaks to:

1. Warn us of spiritual attacks and battles ahead, so that we can prepare ourselves and stand firm in faith.

2. "Dรฉtourner l'homme du mal" - to turn man away from evil and keep him on the path of righteousness.

3. Protect us from pride (L'orgueil). Pride was at the root of Lucifer's fall, and it remains one of the greatest dangers that can distance us from God. The Lord calls us to walk in humility.

4. "Prรฉserver ton รขme de la fosse" (Job 33:18) - to preserve our souls from destruction and keep us from harm.

We are also reminded that the enemy operates with strategy. He studies our weaknesses and seeks opportunities to attack vulnerable areas of our lives. But God, in His love and mercy, warns us beforehand and gives us divine instruction through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit speaks to us, guides us, and even intercedes for us with groanings that words cannot express (Romans 8).

Jesus, our Good Shepherd, teaches us in John 10 that His sheep know His voice. As believers, we must learn to discern the voice of God from the voice of strangers (discerner la voix des รฉtrangers).

Do you know His voice? Or is this something we need to grow in together? Because the more time we spend in His Word and in His presence, the more familiar His voice becomes, until we can recognise Him even in the quietest moments.

May we grow in intimacy with God and become increasingly sensitive to His voice, His warnings, His direction, and His heart.

Throwback to a powerful message Pastor Yogesh shared on โ€œThe Altar / Lโ€™Autelโ€ ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The word altar comes from the Hebrew word โ€œMizbeachโ€, a place of sacrifice, surrender, worship, and encounter with God.

Throughout the Bible, altars were places where people met with God, honoured Him, and saw His power move.

We were reminded of different altars:
๐Ÿ”ฅ an altar of sacrifice,
๐Ÿ™ an altar of prayer and incense,
๐Ÿ’› an altar of thanksgiving and grace,
๐ŸŽถ an altar of worship and praise,
๐Ÿฉธ and the power of declaring the blood of Jesus.

๐Ÿ“– In Genesis 22, Abraham built an altar of obedience and sacrifice.
๐Ÿ“– In Genesis 28, Jacob encountered God at Bethel, la maison de Dieu, where the altar became a place of blessing and promise.
๐Ÿ“– In 1 Kings 18:30-38, Elijah rebuilt the altar of the Lord, and the fire of God answered.

But Pastor also reminded us that the enemy seeks to establish counterfeit altars too, places that give darkness influence over our lives. Thatโ€™s why, like Gideon in Judges 6:25, we must tear down every ungodly altar and return fully to God.

How do we break wrong altars?
โžก๏ธ Through repentance
โžก๏ธ Declaring the Word of God
โžก๏ธ Forgiving and breaking generational curses through Jesus Christ

Everything was accomplished at the cross, le plus grand sacrifice. Through the blood of Jesus, every chain can be broken (Galatians 3:13-14).

This message challenged us to reflect:
What altar are we building in our daily lives?
An altar of worry and fearโ€ฆ or an altar of worship, communion, and surrender to God?

Today, may we re-establish the altar of God in our homes, our hearts, and our lives, casting every burden at the feet of Jesus and honouring Him above all else.

๐Ÿ™ If you need prayer or encouragement, feel free to reach out, weโ€™d love to pray with you.

On Sunday, Pastor Yogesh reminded us of a truth we all recognise: our life is a battle (une vie de combat). We all face struggles, seasons of pressure, and unseen challenges. But what makes the difference is our perseverance, persistence, and patience in faith.

We are encouraged not to give up. The Word says: โ€œResist the devil, and he will flee from youโ€ (James 4:7). But how do we resist? With the Word of God, standing firm in truth when everything else feels uncertain.
Remember God's word:
๐Ÿ“– โ€œThe thief comes only to steal, kill and destroyโ€ฆโ€ John 10:10
We see this in the life of Job, yet even in the battle, God remained faithful and restored him. God will restore you too!
๐Ÿ“– โ€œThe kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by forceโ€ Matthew 11:12
This is not a physical fight, but a spiritual one. Our enemy is unseen, but very real. Exercise your authority too!
๐Ÿ“– โ€œI saw Satan fall like lightning from heavenโ€ Luke 10:18
We are not fighting for victory, but from victory, Christ has already overcome your battles!
๐Ÿ“– โ€œBe strong in the Lord and in His mighty powerโ€ Ephesians 6:10
Our strength is not in ourselves, but in Him.
๐Ÿ“– โ€œThe Spirit helps us in our weaknessโ€ฆโ€ Romans 8:26
Even when we donโ€™t know how to pray and led by our flesh, God is working on our behalf.
๐Ÿ“– โ€œFight the good fight of faithโ€ 1 Timothy 6:12
Finally, this is a daily walk choosing faith over fear, truth over lies.

Pastor highlighted 3 ways the enemy comes against us:
1. Deception (like in Eden, twisting Godโ€™s truth)
2. Accusation (reminding you of your past, saying youโ€™re not worthy)
3. Temptation (pulling you away from Godโ€™s will, even Jesus was tempted)

So what do we do?
Donโ€™t drop your weapons.
Hold on to the Word of God. Stay in prayer. Know your identity.
โ€œRien ne pourra vous nuireโ€, nothing shall harm you when you stand in Him.

๐Ÿ’› Encouragement:
You may be in a battle right now, mentally, spiritually, or emotionally but donโ€™t give up. God is with you, strengthening you, equipping you, and fighting for you. Stay firm. Stay rooted. Victory is in Christ.

๐Ÿ“– Key scriptures to go deeper this week:
James 4:7, Romans 8:26, 1 Timothy 6:12, John 10:10, Matthew 11:12, Luke 10:18, Ephesians 6:10

๐Ÿ™ We are here to pray with you and for you. We have seen the Lord deliver, we have heard testimonies, and we know that our God is able. If He did it for us, He will do it for you. Reach out or drop us your prayer request, you are not alone.

24/04/2026

Tonight, we continue to lift up in prayer those who feel discouraged, lost, or on the verge of giving up.

Please hear this, God has not given up on you. He sees your situation, the weight youโ€™re carrying, the dilemmas youโ€™re facing, the battles no one else knows about. He sees your need for healing, your search for answers, and others.

We encourage you tonight to bring everything to Him. Lay your burdens before God, speak to Him honestly, and allow Him to strengthen you. You donโ€™t have to carry it alone. And if you need someone to stand with you in prayer, we are here. Reach out to us, we will pray with you. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

Last Sunday, Pastor Yogesh reminded us that God is a God of justice, and in His justice, He did not leave us in our sin, instead He made a way for us to be made righteous through Jesus Christ.

The Word tells us that we have all fallen short (Romans 3:23), privรฉs de la gloire de Dieu, yet โ€œwe are justified freely by His graceโ€. Through His justice and His love, God chose to justify us (justifiรฉs par son sang).

Because of this, โ€œthere is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesusโ€ (Romans 8:1). The enemy may accuse you, but God declares you righteous. That is His justice at work, not condemning you, but restoring you.

We want you remind you that the Lord Our Righteousness (Jehovah Tsidkenu), โ€œLโ€™ร‰ternel est notre justiceโ€. Your identity is no longer in your past, but in Him.

๐Ÿ’ญ So how do we live this out?
Living as the righteousness of God means choosing daily to align with Him: When guilt comes, remind yourself you are justified.
When the world pulls you away, stand firm in faith.
When you feel unworthy, remember His grace made you worthy.

We donโ€™t walk like the world anymore (Ephesians 4:17), because we now carry a new identity shaped by His justice and His grace. Like Abraham (Hebrews 11:8), we are called to walk by faith, trusting Him step by step.

๐Ÿ’› Your encouragement today:
Godโ€™s justice is not against you, it is for you. You are forgiven, restored, and made righteous. Walk in that truth. Live in that freedom.

๐Ÿ™ If this speaks to you and you need prayer or simply want to connect, reach out, weโ€™d love to hear from you.

Trust God.

โœจ Le Dieu de la restauration / The God of Restoration โœจ

This Sunday at Purley Church, we had the honour of welcoming Pastor Marie Michelle, who reminded us of this powerful truth: our God is a God of restoration. No matter what has been broken, lost, or delayed, Our God has the power to restore, reconcile, rebuild, and transform.

The story of the prodigal son (Luke 15) reminds us so beautifully of this. After leaving his father and losing everything, โ€œรฉtant rentrรฉ en lui-mรชmeโ€, he came to himself. He realised where he had fallen and decided to return, saying: โ€œJe me lรจverai, jโ€™irai vers mon Pรจre.โ€ Sometimes, we need to tell ourselves: I will rise and go back to my Father.
When the father saw his son from a distance, he ran to him, embraced him, and restored him, not as a servant, but as a son. He gave him a robe, a ring, and celebrated him. This is the heart of God toward us, not condemnation, but restoration.

Similar to the woman with the issue of blood, who believed and said within herself, โ€œIf I can just go to Himโ€ฆโ€, faith requires action and God will restore you.

โ€œAfter you have suffered a little while, He will restore you, make you strong, firm and steadfastโ€ - 1 Peter 5:10
From Job to Joseph, we see a God who restores beyond what was lost. And through Jesus, we are ultimately reconciled with the Father - rรฉconciliรฉs avec Dieu.

Some key scriptures for us to meditate on:
โ€œDraw near to God and He will draw near to youโ€ in James 4:8
โ€œApprochez-vous de Dieuโ€ฆโ€ it starts with a step. When we return to Him, He comes close to us
โ€œHe restores my soulโ€ in Psalm 23:3. God doesnโ€™t just fix things around you, He restores you from within, he knows your heart, your emotions..
โ€œI will restore to you the years that the locust has eatenโ€ in Joel 2:25 Even the years you feel were wastedโ€ฆ God can restore them.

This is the message for you today: Whatever your situation, have faith that He is able to restore you.

๐Ÿ™ If this speaks to you and you need prayer or want to connect, reach out, we would love to hear from you.

The Good Choice: Choosing Godโ€™s Way
Every day, we all have to make choices.
Some choices may seem small, but others affect our lives deeply. The most important question is:

Are we making choices according to Godโ€™s Word, or according to our own desires?

The Bible teaches us that life is shaped by the choices we make, and God calls His people to choose wisely.

1. There Are Two Paths
Jesus clearly tells us that there are only two ways we can live:

The Wide Gate
โ€œEnter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.โ€
โ€” Matthew 7:13

The wide gate represents the way of the world.
It is easy, popular, and allows people to live however they want. But Jesus warns that this path leads to spiritual loss and destruction.

The Narrow Gate
โ€œBut small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.โ€
โ€” Matthew 7:14

The narrow road is Godโ€™s way.
It may be difficult, and it requires obedience, faith, and surrender. But it leads to eternal life.

2. God Gives Us the Choice
God does not force usโ€”He invites us to choose what is right.

โ€œToday I have given you the choice between life and deathโ€ฆ Oh, that you would choose life.โ€
โ€” Deuteronomy 30:19

God wants His people to choose life, blessing, and obedience rather than sin and destruction.

3. Our Plans Are Not Always Godโ€™s Plans
Many times, we make decisions based only on what we want. But Scripture reminds us:

โ€œYou can make many plans, but the Lordโ€™s purpose will prevail.โ€
โ€” Proverbs 19:21

We may plan our own path, but Godโ€™s will is always greater and will stand forever.

4. Not Every Path Is Right
Sometimes something may look good to us, but it may not be Godโ€™s way.

โ€œThere is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.โ€
โ€” Proverbs 14:12

That is why we must not rely only on feelings or human understanding.

5. Trust God, Not Yourself
God calls us to trust Him fully when making choices:

โ€œTrust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.โ€
โ€” Proverbs 3:5

When we trust God, He guides us into the right decisions.

6. Choose to Serve the Lord
Joshua gave a strong challenge to Godโ€™s people:

โ€œChoose for yourselves this day whom you will serveโ€ฆโ€
โ€” Joshua 24:15

And he declared:

โ€œBut as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.โ€

Every believer must decide:
Will we follow the world, or will we follow God?

7. Ask God for Wisdom
If we donโ€™t know what choice to make, God offers help:

โ€œIf any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask Godโ€ฆ and it will be given to you.โ€
โ€” James 1:5

God is faithful to guide us when we seek Him.

Conclusion: The Good Choice
Making good choices means choosing Godโ€™s way over the worldโ€™s way.

The wide road leads to destruction

The narrow road leads to life

God calls us to choose life

Trust Him, seek wisdom, and serve Him faithfully

The good choice is always the godly choice.
