"On this rock I will build my church"

Those gathering at Pool chapel on Sunday for our Craft and Communion service had the option to paint pebbles as we reflected on what it means to be the ground in an age where the ground beneath us feels uncertain.

Knowing Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God, gives us a sure foundation despite the turmoil of our times.

Those visiting Pool Chapel last Sunday were in for a treat at our Sing the Faith service — an adventure through the life and hymnody of Fred Pratt Green, who once served as the minister here.

Heartfelt thanks to Judith for her scrupulous research and engaging delivery, and to Lindsey for leading us so beautifully on our piano and fabulous organ.

The tunes we sang together echoed in our hearts throughout this past week, reminding us of the compassionate, justice-oriented faith woven through each of his hymns.
