As part of our Easter Celebrations in Plymouth, we welcomed over 100 children from near by schools to learn more about the events that took place in Holy Week.

The children traveled through 6 areas, taking time to reflect on the meaning and relating it to them. The children were also offered a cross and poem, which were kindly made and written by members of The Salvation Army - Plymouth Whitleigh.

Two events taking place in the city during half term, providing food for the whole family as well as activities, games and toys.

Last Thursday, myself and 6 volunteers from all Plymouth Corps celebrated the 10th anniversary of Transforming Plymouth Together.

The evening looked back on the wonderful work TPT has supported through the years, including our stay and plays, feast of funs, Christmas hampers and goody bags. In recognition of all the hard work, both TPT and volunteers from across the churches in Plymouth were presented with the King’s award for voluntary service.

It was a honour to see TPT’s work celebrated and to know that we are making a difference in our communities.

This week, we welcomed 3 primary school to learn more about Holy Week, through The Easter Experience. The children journeyed through 6 interactive stations where they heard the Easter story and spent some time reflecting on what they’d heard.

Thank you to all the volunteers from all the Plymouth churches and The Salvation Army Plymouth Devonport Morice Town for hosting the event.
