Kol Chai means a living voice … of Reform Judaism. We are rooted in tradition but alive to the ever-changing modern world. We call ourselves a Community because we are more than a synagogue. Our focus is on people, both when we come together and as individuals – in times of celebration and when support is required. We want everyone to feel included – young or old, observant or secular, active or l

ess so, singles and couples, including members with non-Jewish partners. Our Shabbat and festival services held in our modern synagogue premises are varied, inclusive and participatory. We offer a warm welcome to members, old and new, and visitors.

Today is Rosh Chodesh Tammuz - the beginning of the summer season, a month of clarity, of seeing the world as it is. It’s also the end of exams and the school year! In Judaism, Tammuz came a tricky month as it’s the month the month when Moses broke the tablets of law and the day the walls of Jerusalem were breached before the Temple was destroyed. It’s an emotionally intense time but if we are sensitive to this energy we can use it to grow, Kol Chai wishes you a calm month with some time just to be with whatever you are feeling.
