On behalf of Pinner Shul Rabbi Kleiman & Lisa Olins are raising money for the amazing work of United Synagogue Chesed (Welfare). It provides essential food parcels at Pesach & throughout the year, cooked meals, volunteer training, bereavement support, hospital/prison chaplaincy, new Music for Memory groups and more, supporting thousands of US members and others in need.

Here are some examples of how your donation can help
🎒 £5 = 2 ‘Back to School’ packs for children who cannot afford school supplies
🍎 £15 = Fresh groceries for 2 families this Pesach
🛍 £30 = Supermarket vouchers for 4 asylum seekers
🥦 £40= Supports 2 people with food, groceries and cooked meals through our food bank

Our very own David Taylor shared with us his own discovery of the joys of challah baking - many thanks; some pictures of the delicious results; Naomi Brookarsh the mastermind behind the whole plan - and the miraculous choice of date which was also chosen by the hostage families as an international date for Challah making.

As part of a global initiative, the United Synagogue is supporting a rally for the hostages in Gaza being organised by 7/10 Human Chain & Hostages and Missing Families Forum.
On the march we will call for the immediate return of the hostages.
Our shul is taking part, and, as with many other US shuls we are going to be marching as one delegation.
This march is a show of support for the hostage families and the remarkable people of Israel, who are demonstrating such resilience during these challenging times.

We continue to grieve for all lives lost and hope for a safe return of hostages. This is a time to come together to mourn the loss and suffering on both sides of the border. We stand against terrorism and pray for peace💕

With the devastating news from Israel, we stand in solidarity with the people of Israel, we pray for safety and we pray for peace.
