🌷 Spring is unfolding around us (although it might not seem like it at times!)- with longer days, warmer sunshine, and new life appearing - reminding us of God’s promise of renewal and hope.

📖 As it says in Song of Songs: “For now the winter is past… the flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come.” (2:11–12)

📖 In this season of growth and new beginnings, we are also reminded of the deeper renewal offered to us through faith: “If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation… everything has become new!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

May this spring be a time to notice the quiet ways God is at work - bringing new life, fresh hope, and joy into our hearts and our community! 🌿

We’re delighted to share the installation of our new gates at St Peter’s Church! ⛪️

Following two attempted break-ins, it was decided to commission a set of reinforced, lockable steel gates to help protect the church while preserving its character.

The new gates are a beautiful replica of the original design and sit perfectly within the historic entrance.

They were blessed during a service on 1st March by Reverend James Ashton, marking an important moment for the church and our community.✨

A heartfelt thank you to Lynne Lloyd for all her work in ensuring the safe delivery of the project, and to Simon Larkin and Roger Lampard for their craftsmanship and support.

Thoughts from David:
Today we remember George Herbert (1593-1633) priest, poet and hymn writer.

Let all the world in every corner sing,
my God and King!
The heavens are not too high,
his praise may thither fly;
the earth is not too low,
his praises there may grow.
Let all the world in every corner sing,
My God and King!
