Just Love exists to inspire every Christian student to pursue this biblical call to social justice. Imagine if every Christian student was known for sacrificial, extravagant, Christ like love – and if this was not just a short-term university trend, but a lifelong calling! Imagine a generation of students released into fighting human trafficking, caring for the homeless, stewarding the planet, sta
nding up for the poor, calling out institutional racism, praying, worshipping, joyfully living all of life, inside and out, wherever we’ve been placed, under the Lordship of Jesus. Imagine what we would show the world of God’s character through our radical love and commitment to justice. In Oxford, we’re a community of Christian students, trying our best to follow this call and to reflect God’s character. We challenge each other, grow together, work with other Jesus centred organisations. Practically, this looks like learning, doing outreaches, projects to reach out to the homeless, fight human trafficking and global poverty, restore creation, as well resourcing people to build rhythms of just living in their daily lives. The call to seek justice is tough – it’s messy, and it’s urgent. But it’s what God asks of us – to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with him. What a privilege we have to partner with God in seeking justice and to worship him by doing his will – and to hopefully see a generation of students embark on a lifelong pursuit of justice.
