Outwood Parish Church

Outwood Parish Church St Mary Magdalene's Church in Outwood is your local church. Parish Mass at 9:15am on Sunday.

We've been serving the people of Outwood and worshipping God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, since 1858. The heart of our life is the 9:30am Parish Mass, but there are many other events for church and community which are posted on this page.

-CHURCH INSTITUTE-

Many different community groups meet in our Church Institute, across the road from the church. These include the Outwood Pre-School, the Mi

ni-Monsters Toddler Group, Outwood Wives' Group, Pensioners' Lunch Club. Dance Classes, Weightwatchers, Majorettes, the Outwood Community Choir, 17th Wakefield Scouts and Beavers, and others.

- WEDDINGS, BAPTISMS AND FUNERALS -

- NORTH WAKEFIELD TEAM-

The Church of England churches in Alverthorpe, Outwood, Wrenthorpe & Stanley are now working in partnership with a team of clergy, including Fr Glenn Coggins as vicar of the whole team and parish priest at St Peter's Stanley, and Mthr Jo Kershaw (Fr Jonathan's wife) as parish priest in St Anne's Wrenthorpe. We are delighted to announce that the Revd Millie Day, currently Assistant Curate in the Aire Benefice has been appointed as the Associate Vicar of the North Wakefield Benefice. The date of her licencing service has yet to be confirmed but we're looking forward to her joining the team.

About the new role Millie said "I am really excited about this new chapter and look forward to meeting you all and becoming part of parish life." Millie will introduce herself in full in the July edition of the benefice magazine.
