Christ Church Orpington We are a local Church of England congregation that serves the people of Orpington. We're based on Charterhouse Road and look forward to welcoming you!

Hello, and a warm welcome to Christ Church Orpington. We're based on Charterhouse Road, where we meet on Sundays and throughout the week. We welcome people of all ages, and hope that we speak words and demonstrate actions that are relevant to your everyday life. In this respect, we trust that our Sunday services offer a warm welcome and are time well spent. Time to spend with God, time to think ab

out the priorities of life. Time where we can grow in relationship with others. All ages are included at Christ Church and our morning services provide a crèche facility for the littlest. There are also activities for children from 3 year olds to teenagers. However, church is not just about Sundays and we are actively involved in local schools, community action projects, summer holiday clubs, and community clubs for the elderly. I hope you'll take the opportunity to visit us. Perhaps you might join us for one of our services, our outreach events, or social activities. Do introduce yourself. I hope you will find a home among us, and know God's blessing for your life.

Community Club is back this Tuesday!

A new term means another opportunity to meet together, enjoy good food and spend time in community.

This Tuesday, Naomi will be leading our morning worship at 11am, with tea and coffee from 10.30am.

And there’s lunch to look forward to too! 🍲

Everyone is welcome — whether you’re a regular or coming along for the first time.

As we begin a new term at Christ Church, we’re reminded of how important prayer is as we seek God for the future of our church and community.

Our Family News reflects on the promises God has made to us — and the encouragement of 2 Corinthians 1:20:

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ.”

🌿 SUNDAY SERVICE 🌿

There’s nothing like gathering together in God’s presence! 🙏🏽✨

Join us this Sunday for a powerful time of worship, prayer, fellowship and learning from God’s Word.

This Sunday we begin two exciting new sermon series! At our main 10.30am service we will be looking at ‘The Big Story’ of the Bible – an exciting 7 week overview of the story of the whole Bible.

And at 6.30pm our evening services restart with a series from 1 Peter on living as ‘Exiles. As Christians our true home is heaven, so we are exiles in this world. This series will help us explore how we face the challenges that brings.

So come expecting, come with an open heart, and bring someone with you!

Welcome Back to School!

As a local church, we want to wish all the children and young people in our community a very warm welcome back to school!

We hope you’ve had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to a new year filled with learning, friendship, fun and new opportunities. 🌟

We also want to say a huge thank you and welcome back to all the teachers, teaching assistants, support staff, administrators and everyone who works so hard behind the scenes. Your care, patience and dedication make such a difference in the lives of our children. ❤️

As you begin this new school year, please know that we are thinking of you, supporting you and praying for you — for strength for the busy days, wisdom for the challenges, encouragement when things are difficult, and plenty of moments of joy along the way. 🙏
