Evangelical Universe Ministries Inspiring transformation and expanding God's Kingdom through the love and salvation of Jesus Christ. Jacques was born in Cape Town in 1973.

https://linktr.ee/eu_ministries?utm_source=linktree_profile_share<sid=582a66f9-2d52-4dcb-83be-c52913cbe198 He is the middle child of three, raised by a devoted single mother. His childhood brought tough lessons, but it also instilled a resilience that would shape both his life and career. He built a successful career in the financial services industry, gaining extensive experience with offshore

investment firms worldwide. Spending seven years in London at a young age influenced the path he would choose. In 2012, Jacques had what he calls a moment of grace. This was a turning point that made him reconsider everything. By the end of 2014, he felt a strong call to full-time ministry. In 2015, he relinquished his material possessions to pursue seminary training. That journey of faith led to his ordination as a pastor in May 2021. Since then, he has travelled widely across South Africa, Mozambique, and the Middle East, sharing the gospel through street ministry, outreach, and evangelistic services. In addition to evangelism, Jacques is passionate about pastoral care, counselling, and discipleship. He offers compassion and practical support to those in crisis. He is dedicated to teaching and upholding the life-changing truths of the gospel. His ministry blends strategic experience with heartfelt pastoral service. He wants to see lives and communities restored. His wife, Caroline, is a caring full-time mother to their two children and a talented Christian counsellor. Her gentle care has become a ministry in its own right. Together, they share a vision focused on family, faith, and serving others. Today, Jacques is entering a new season. He is temporarily separated from his family as he seeks opportunities in the United Kingdom. His goal is simple yet ambitious: to expand Godโ€™s kingdom in both practical and spiritual ways, and to create a secure future for his wife and children. He walks this path with faith and hope, believing that every open door is an invitation to serve, build, and bring light to those in need.

Dear fellow believers. This is a special prayer request for a sweet little boy called Luca, who has been sick for years and is currently in the ICU at Kloof Hospital. His battle is with Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Rhinovirus, Enterovirus, and Post-Infectious Bronchiolitis Obliterans (PIBO).

Thank you

**The Shepherd Is With Us**

Fear may speak loudly, but it has no final authority over the child of God.

This weekโ€™s devotional reflects on Psalm 23:4b and the comfort of knowing that the Shepherd protects, leads and walks with us through every valley.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ When Jesus Met Me on the Run

Isaiah 40:29 says, โ€œHe gives power to the weak.โ€

Running has never really been my lane. Competitive cycling was my background, and running only ever helped support my training with the odd parkrun.

Since arriving in the UK, running has become part of how I stay fit and mentally steady. Twice a week max. Usually 5km. Usually after work.

Last Friday morning, before heading to the construction site, I felt prompted to run early. Halfway through, with life pressing hard on my heart, I asked Jesus aloud to come run with me.

I know He is always near. Yet that morning I invited Him into the moment in a very specific way.

I wept as I ran. I cried out to the Lord over the battlefields of life. And He strengthened me.

When I got home and synced my Garmin, there it was: at 52 years old, I had broken my lifetime 5km PB by 32 seconds.

To my fitness friends, 26:29 may look ordinary. For me, that morning became a testimony. Jesus heard my prayer and gave me the strength I asked for.

Praise His wonderful name!

Nearer Than Strength

When our spirit feels empty, Christ does not simply give us enough strength to keep moving. He draws us nearer to Himself, so His life can be formed more deeply within us.

๐Ÿ“– The Quiet Work of Humility

Sometimes God teaches us most deeply, not through success, but through the lower places we would never have chosen for ourselves.

In this new article, I reflect on what the recent months of ordinary labour, hidden pressures, and uncomfortable lessons have taught me about pride, grace, and the quiet, formative work of God in the lower place.

Better to Trust the Lord

There are seasons when Scripture moves from something we recite to something we must live.

Todayโ€™s devotional reflects on Psalm 118:8 and the freeing reminder that people may falter, but God is faithful.

Thirsting for God Again

In a world that often feels weary, uncertain, and spiritually distracted, this weekโ€™s devotional calls us back to the Lord with fresh hunger.

We do not need panic. We need prayer. We do not need despair. We need discernment. We need to thirst for God again.

*The Good News We Carry*

Sharing the Gospel can sometimes feel more complicated than it needs to be. But the Good News does not rest on our cleverness. It rests on Jesus.

This weekโ€™s devotional is a simple reminder that we do not need to impress people to share Christ. We need to be faithful, gentle, kind, and ready to point others to the One who saves.

Let us remember our precious Lord Jesus today: the One who came down for humanityโ€™s redemption, suffered an atoning death on the cross, defeated death through His resurrection, and after forty days ascended to heaven to take His rightful place at the right hand of the Father.

All glory belongs to Him.

Our King and our Saviour.
