Night 5 - that’s a wrap!

Our journey to Feary island complete!

Tonight we reached the final night of our Brave Adventures: Standing Strong for God journey.

We learned about Daniel, who continued to trust and obey God even when it became difficult. Daniel’s enemies were jealous of him and tricked King Darius into making a law that meant no one could pray to anyone except the king for 30 days.
Daniel had a choice. He could stop praying to God and keep himself safe, or he could continue to trust God and do what he knew was right.

Daniel chose to pray.

As a result, he was thrown into a den full of hungry lions. It must have been a frightening experience, but Daniel knew something important: God rules over all.

While Daniel spent the night in the lions’ den, God sent His angel to protect him. The next morning, King Darius discovered that Daniel was safe. Not even a scratch had been left on him.

Over the past five nights, we’ve learned some amazing truths:
• Night 1: God wants His children to know Him.
• Night 2: God wants His children to know Him and be strong.
• Night 3: God is always with us, even in difficult times.
• Night 4: God takes sin seriously, but He loves us and offers forgiveness through Jesus.
• Night 5: God rules over all.

No matter what challenges we face, we can be brave because God is always in control.

It was great to have so many families joining us tonight to be able to enjoy some of the fun and games and singing that their children have been involved in during the week!

And thanks to our bbq chefs and kitchen helpers for our tasty hotdogs and refreshments to end our evening.

Night 4

Tonight we learnt that King Belshazzar held a great feast in Babylon and proudly believed that nothing could harm him. During the feast, he used the special cups from God’s temple to praise false gods and dishonour the one true God.
Suddenly, a mysterious hand appeared and wrote a message on the wall. No one could understand what it meant, so Daniel was called to explain it. Daniel reminded the king that God had been patient and good to him, but he had chosen to ignore God and live with pride.
The message on the wall was a warning that God had seen the king’s actions and would judge him.

Key message:
God takes sin seriously and will punish sin.

We look forward to welcoming many of you back tomorrow along with your families for our final night of fun and fellowship together.

Night 3 complete!

Tonight we learnt that King Nebuchadnezzar built a huge golden statue and ordered everyone to bow down and worship it. But Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused because they knew there was only one true God.
The king became angry and threw them into a blazing furnace. But God did not leave them. He protected them, and they came out without even smelling of smoke! Their courage showed that they trusted God no matter what happened.

Our Key message:
👉 God wants His children to know Him and be strong.
👉 We can stand strong for God, even when it is difficult.
