NOTICES
Notices 31.05.26
A reminder that St Gabriel’s APCM will be held this Sunday, 31st May, and to allow Fr Stephen time to celebrate Mass at St Mark’s and for the APCM to be held before a 1:00pm Baptism at St Gabriel’s, the Sunday’s service times this week will be changed as follows:
Mass at St Mark’s will be at 9:00am;
Eucharist at St Gabriel’s will be at 10:30am.
The midweek services in the benefice this week will be as follows:
Tuesday 2nd June
St Mark’s Mass & PCC Meeting 7:00pm
Wednesday 3rd June
St Gabriel’s Eucharist 10:30am
Thursday 4th June
St Gabriel’s School Collective Worship 9:15am
St Gabriel’s Eucharist & PCC Meeting 7:00pm
On Friday 5th June there will be a Family Board Game Night at St Gabriel’s. Start time will be 7:00pm.
At 2:00pm on Sunday 28th June, Fr Alex will be ordained to the sacred priesthood. We are planning to arrange a coach for those who would like to be at the cathedral to support Fr Alex on this special day in his ministry, and there is now a sign-up sheet for this in both churches.
As Fr Stephen will have to be at the cathedral well before the 2:00pm start time, and to avoid people from St Mark’s having to wait around for the coach, or go home and return, there will be only one service in the benefice that day which will be a Mass at St Mark’s at 10:30am.
At 10:00am on Sunday 6th September a Confirmation Service will take place at St James, Barry Street in Oldham. Would anyone who would like to be Confirmed at this service please see Fr Stephen or Fr Alex.
The deposits for the Benefice Pilgrimage to Walsingham have now been paid but the sign-up sheet for the pilgrimage is still at the back of church. If you’d like to join the pilgrimage but have not yet put your name on the list, please do so ASAP and let Fr Stephen have your £40 non-refundable deposit. We may be able to book additional places on the pilgrimage but the sooner we ask for these the more likely they are to be available.
