The midweek services in the benefice this week will be as follows:

Due to a cancellation, we now have one place available on our Benefice pilgrimage to Walsingham. If you would like to take this place, please see Fr Stephen or Fr Alex so that we can make the necessary alterations to the booking. At the moment, there is still accommodation available in Walsingham, if anyone else would like to join us on pilgrimage, but the longer we leave it, the less likely it will become that we’ll be able to book more places.
For those who have booked their place, could we please have your outstanding balance of £198.80 per person by 2nd October at the latest. The total outstanding balance for the group has to be paid no later than 9th October so we will need your individual payments before this. Please see Fr Stephen for details of how this can be paid.

As many of you will know, one of our Altar Servers, and PCC members, Liam Keatley, is currently on placement, serving in the parish of St Andrew's, Jarrom Street in Leicester as Pastoral Assistant

Many of you will also have seen or read in the news that a serious fire broke out at St Andrew's church last week which has left it unusable for the foreseeable future. The rebuilding process is expected to take a considerable amount of time and will come at a significant cost to the parish community.

This has been a difficult time for the parish community, and also for Liam, who has been worshipping with the people of St Andrew's for the past month.

The deadline for submitting the accommodation list for our pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham is Monday 24th August. Because two of the people who originally booked to go on the pilgrimage are no longer able to join us we now have two places available. If you would like to take one of these places please let Fr Stephen or Fr Alex know before the accommodation list is sent. We may be able to book additional places on the pilgrimage after the list has been sent but that can’t be guaranteed.

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the Bring & Share Lunch at St Gabriel’s last Sunday, and especially to those who stayed on afterwards to help with cleaning the church. It was a great effort, and the church looks so much better for it.

On Thursday 30th July, St Mark’s is being used as a Polling Station for the Greater Manchester Mayoral Election. If you need to go into St Mark’s for any reason other than to cast your vote, please try to avoid this date.
