As part of the Purushottam Maas Jatra, two coaches of devotees from Preston arrived in our Mandir onSunday, 31st May, at 5:00 pm.

They arrived joyfully singing bhajans and were warmly welcomed by the devotees of Shree Radha Krishna Mandir, Oldham.

Their arrival created a truly divine and uplifting atmosphere.

The visiting devotees led beautiful bhajans, filling the temple with devotion and spiritual energy. This was followed by the evening Aarti, in which everyone participated with great enthusiasm and devotion.

The programme concluded with the distribution of prasad.

Over 70 people joined us in stillness, music and collective positive energy, a truly powerful gathering of our community.

Last Tuesday on 19th May, As part of the Interfaith Forum’s Faith Trails programme, a special visit for ladies to places of worship was organised by our Saheli Group. Around 30 participants attended, including Christian and Muslim ladies, as well as Councillor Omar.

Ten members from the Saheli Group also took part in the event.

The guests were warmly welcomed, followed by a PowerPoint presentation on Hinduism. This led to an engaging question-and-answer session, where participants showed great interest in learning about different beliefs and traditions. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a Mandir Darshan and shared a delicious meal together.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity for ladies from different faiths and backgrounds to come together, explore similarities, and respectfully discuss differences.

It was a truly positive experience that promoted friendship, understanding, and community cohesion.

We will have bhajans, readings and discourse on Chapter 15 of the Srimad Bhagwad Gita (Purushottam Yoga), followed by Prasadam.

LUNCHEON CLUB & SAHELI GROUP VISIT

Members of our Luncheon Club and Saheli Group recently enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Senior Citizen Centre (SCC) in Manchester. A total of 29 members attended the trip.

A warm welcome was given by the chairperson and the members of the centre. The day began with everyone joining in bhajan singing, creating a joyful and spiritual atmosphere. This was followed by a lively game of Antakshari, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

In a generous gesture, the SCC treated the visitors with a delicious lunch, followed by everyone joining in playing Bingo. As a token of appreciation the Oldham visitors made a donation to the SCC. It was a truly enjoyable and memorable day for everyone.
