In a world that constantly demands more, Psalm 131 offers something different - a quiet invitation to rest.

It's a short Psalm, but a deeply powerful one. A reminder to let go of striving, trust God with what we don't understand, and find peace in His presence.

"I have calmed and quieted myself... like a weaned child with its mother." (Psalm 131:2)

This morning, we took time as a church family to pray for everyone affected by the tragic incident at Big Church Festival.

Many from Heart Church were there this weekend, and we know this has deeply affected people across the wider Church.

We pray for those who are grieving, those who were injured, those who witnessed what happened, and everyone carrying the shock and sadness of this weekend.

In moments like this, we hold onto the truth that God is near.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” - Psalm 34:18

May His comfort, peace, and presence surround every person affected.

Whatever this week might hold, there's always a reason to lift our eyes to God.

Psalm 34 is a song of praise, written from a place of God's faithfulness. It reminds us that God hears our prayers, stays close to the broken-hearted, and invites us to experience His goodness for ourselves.

"Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." (Psalm 34:8)
