Despite the heatwave, St Peter's Church remains a gratefully cool sanctuary at the heart of the city, which we hope will provide further encouragement for you to join us for our next series of Coffee Break Concerts!

We are pleased to be welcoming back performers from Repton School and pianist Ed Hogkinson, both regulars at our concert series, alongside the Nottinghamshire Police Band and Philip Miles, the Organ Scholar at St Mary's Church.

Please be aware that there will be no tram service between The Forest and Old Market Square from Sunday 24th May to Sunday 31st May due to essential improvement works.

High School, Nottingham Trent University and Royal Centre stops will be closed during this time.

A replacement bus service will be in operation, with normal service resuming on Monday 1st June.

Job Vacancy - Organist and Director of Music for Nottingham St Peter’s and All Saints’

Following Peter Siepmann’s appointment to Nottingham Cathedral after eighteen years in post, the parish of St Peter’s and All Saints’ churches in the city of Nottingham seeks an experienced conductor, organist and inspirational choral trainer to continue to develop the high standards of liturgical music central to the life of this vibrant, diverse and exceptionally welcoming parish. The main duties will be at the church of St Peter’s at the bustling heart of the city.

Salary: ÂŁ12,000 p.a. plus fees for weddings, funerals, etc.

We're hiring!

Open everyday, St Peter’s has stood for 9 centuries at the heart of the city and needs a verger who will cherish that heritage , welcome the many and varied daily visitors and prepare for and support the Sunday and weekday services which are an integral part of the life of the church .
The Head Verger will work closely with the clergy, music department, St Peter’s Centre staff, Churchwardens, welcomers and volunteers. The verger, along with our caretaker, also has oversight of All Saints’ , our sister church on Raleigh Street.

37 hours per week (working pattern to be confirmed; in due course this might be 9.30 am to 4.30 pm Monday-Thursday, and from 7:30 am every Sunday, with varying finish times, including a lunch break on all days. Hours worked will require flexibility.

Our Lent Group at All Saints will take place for 5 weeks. We will be using the booklet – Lentwise, and will have copies available.

We will meet from 7 - 8.30pm on Tuesdays 3rd, 10th, 17th and 31st March. Owen will lead a short Communion service at each meeting, instead of the Tuesday morning services.

There will be some refreshments at the beginning and we'll warmly welcome anyone to join us
