A Sunday Evening of Spirit, Love & Connection

This Sunday, the doors of Nottingham Spiritualist Church are open to everyone for an evening of friendship, inspiration and evidence of the continuing bond between our world and the Spirit World.

Sunday 13th September — 6.30pm
We are delighted to welcome Michelle & Andy Speed to lead our Spiritualist Service.

Whether Spiritualism has been part of your life for many years, you are beginning to explore your own spirituality, or you're simply curious about what happens inside a Spiritualist Church, you are warmly invited to join us.

Our Sunday services are about far more than mediumship. They are a time to come together, leave the pressures of everyday life outside for a while, and share an atmosphere of hope, healing, love and community.

There is no need to book, no expectation that you have to believe anything, and no requirement to be a member. Simply come as you are, take a seat and experience the service for yourself.

Perhaps you've been meaning to visit us for a while. Maybe this Sunday is the evening to walk through our doors.

A RARE EVENING OF TRANCE MEDIUMSHIP IN NOTTINGHAM

On Saturday 31st October 2026, Nottingham Spiritualist Church welcomes Elaine Thorpe — Trance Medium & Spiritual Artist for what promises to be a fascinating and very different evening.

Elaine will demonstrate Trance Mediumship with her Spirit Guide, Jonathan, giving members of the audience the opportunity to ask Jonathan questions and hear philosophy and insight communicated through the trance state. The evening will also include a talk and the possibility of evidential communication.

For anyone curious about Trance Mediumship, whether you’ve experienced it before or have simply wondered what it is and how it works, this is a wonderful opportunity to witness it for yourself.

Elaine will also have a selection of her spiritual artwork and jewellery available on the evening.

Spaces are limited, so early reservation is strongly recommended.

Come with an open mind, bring your questions, and experience an evening exploring a fascinating aspect of Spiritualist mediumship.

❤️ WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY — THANK YOU! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our very first Summer Fayre at Nottingham Spiritualist Church today.!

From our lovely stallholders who brought such a fantastic variety of things to browse and buy, to our gifted readers, who gave their time and energy throughout the day — thank you all so much. ❤️

A very special shout-out has to go to Alan Leask and Emma Leask from Derby Central Spiritualist Church, who worked incredibly hard keeping the food and drinks coming. You were absolute stars! 🍔☕👏

We'd also like to give a heartfelt thank you to Jane Walton , President of Long Eaton Spiritualist Church, and McCafferty Long Eaton Spiritualist Church Broad Street for coming along and supporting us.

And, of course, a massive thank you to ,everyone of our lovely committee and volunteers behind the scenes — those who helped set everything up, moved tables and chairs, welcomed visitors, cleared away and did all those little jobs that often go unnoticed. We couldn't have done it without you.

Today really demonstrated something that is so important within our movement:

Spiritualists helping and supporting other Spiritualists. Churches supporting churches. People simply coming together and getting stuck in.❤️

There was laughter, conversation, friendship, food, readings, stalls and plenty of lovely energy throughout the day. Seeing the church, garden and surrounding areas being used and enjoyed by so many people made all the hard work worthwhile.

For our first Summer Fayre, we couldn't have asked for a lovelier atmosphere.

Most importantly, thank you to every single person who walked through our doors and supported the day🙏☺️☺️Whether you bought something from a stall, had a reading, enjoyed some food, stopped for a chat or simply came to see what was happening — you helped make the day what it was.❤️

Today wasn't just about raising funds or holding a fayre. It was about community, friendship and people coming together — and we think these photographs say it better than we ever could. 🥰
