Grimsby Pagan Moot is an eclectic and welcoming Moot open to Pagans of all paths and seekers. We hold a monthly Pub Moot on the last Friday of each month, this takes place at the Spider's Webb, Carr Lane, Grimsby from 8pm onwards. We also hold gatherings to mark the seasonal celebrations and social meet ups/outings. If you wish to interact with us, please sign up to our Facebook Group. The Town of Grimsby takes its name from the legend of Grim and Havelock, according to the legend, Grim the Fisherman, is paid to drown the Danish Prince Havelock at sea, but instead rescues him by sailing away from Denmark and landing on the east coast of England, where he forms a settlement known as Grimsby, (Grim's town). The name Grim means mask and Grim and Grimnir (masked one) are two of the names adopted by Odin when travelling in disguise among mortals.
