A BASIC STATEMENT OF BELIEFS
1. The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God—complete, authoritative, and fully sufficient for life, doctrine, and godliness. We interpret Scripture through its context, language, and the guiding of the Holy Spirit.
Read ~ 2 Timothy 3:16–17 & Psalm 119:105
2. God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in essence, distinct in role, perfect in unity.
Read ~ Matthew 28:19 & Deuteronomy 6:4
3. Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. Born of a virgin, lived sinlessly, crucified for our sins, raised bodily, and ascended to the Father—He is the only way to salvation and the returning King.
Read ~ John 1:1–14, Romans 10:9 & Acts 1:11
4. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates the heart, convicts of sin, indwells every believer, empowers for service, and guides in truth. Spiritual gifts are given by the Spirit, to be used in love and humility for the building up of the Church.
Read ~ John 14:26, 1 Corinthians 12 & Galatians 5:22–23
5. Humanity and Sin
We believe all people are created in God’s image yet fallen through sin, separated from God, and in need of redemption. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone—not by works. Those living according to Christ will inevitably do good works because Jesus told us "A tree is known by its fruits."
Read ~ Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8–9 & Genesis 1:27
6. The Church
We believe in the universal Church—made up of all true believers—and the local church as its visible expression. We are called to worship, disciple, serve, and proclaim the gospel together in unity and love.
Read ~ Ephesians 4:4–6 & Hebrews 10:24–25
7. Church Leadership and Gender Roles
We affirm the equal value and dignity of men and women before God. God tell us there are only two genders, male and female. We believe the role of elder/pastor is reserved for spiritually qualified men, in accordance with Scripture.
Women are fully encouraged to pray, serve, teach in appropriate contexts, and use their gifts for the edification of the body.
All believers—male and female—are called to grow, lead by example, and glorify Christ.
Read ~ 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, Romans 16 & Galatians 3:28
8. Baptism and Communion
We believe baptism is an outward sign of inward faith—best practiced by full immersion.
Breaking of Bread (commonly known as Communion) is a seperate service open to believers only where we remember Christ’s sacrifice, practiced with reverence and self-examination.
Read ~ Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3–4 & 1 Corinthians 11:23–26
9. End Times
We believe Jesus will return visibly and gloriously to judge the living and the dead. There will be a bodily resurrection, the new heavens and new earth, and eternal life for all who are in Christ.
Read ~ Revelation 21, 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 & John 14:3
10. The Christian Life
We are called to walk in humility, holiness, and hope—abiding in Christ, loving one another, and shining as salt and light in the world. We pursue truth with grace, conviction with kindness, and worship with authenticity.
Read ~ Micah 6:8, John 15 & Matthew 5:13–16
11. Church Discipline
Believers are called to love one another as Christ loved us. We are therefore called to treat each other with courtesy and respect at all times. Elders will use biblical Scripture to ensure unity within the Church and apply good order.
