Sensory-Friendly Mass Invitation 🌟
St Colmcille’s Parish (Ballyhackamore Belfast BT4 3JB) warmly invites you to our monthly Sensory Mass on next Saturday, 30th May at 12:00 noon. This special Mass is designed to be inclusive and welcoming for individuals and families who may benefit from a quieter, more relaxed worship environment. It is especially helpful for those with Dementia, Autism and ADHD. The Life of Fr Patrick Kelly: Co. Down Priest & member of French Resistance in WW2.

A talk by Padraig Coyle, Journalist and Broadcaster

Ballynahinch Parish Centre - Monday coming, 18th May, at 7.30pm

A native of Dromara, Fr Kelly served in a French diocese and became immersed in the Resistance in Nazi-occupied France. Having been honoured by the France for his wartime heroism, he returned to his native Dromore Diocese, serving in various places including Dunmore in Ballynahinch Parish.

Speaking to ACN Ireland before his visit, Bishop Shomali said that “Gaza is forgotten. Today all attention is on Iran and southern Lebanon, but in the Strip, two million people are still suffering: the issue is unresolved”.


His visit comes amidst an upsurge in attacks on Palestinian villages and land grabs in the occupied West Bank by militant Israeli settlers. According to the United Nations (UN), 1,090 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since the beginning of the October 7 war in Gaza, in addition to the tens of thousands killed in Gaza.



“The international community really needs to focus attention on what is happening in Palestine,” Bishop Shomali said ahead of his visit.
