Musselburgh Congregational Church

Musselburgh Congregational Church The wee church with the big heart. Open to absolutely everyone with a warm community welcome. Today this is the oldest standing church building in Musselburgh.

Musselburgh Congregational Church was formed in 1798, meeting initially in a barn in Fisherrow. As the congregation grew a piece of land was bought and the church was built on the site it stands on today. It was built with sand and stones from the shore and completed and dedicated in 1801. The church and its members continue to serve the whole community of Musselburgh and it is fondly known as the wee church with the big heart. All are welcome here.
