We loved having the Mission Reality Team from the Word of Life Bible Institute (New York) with us last week. These Year 2 students brought so much energy and commitment as they stepped into youth work in a new context and made a significant impact.

Together, we ran a Holiday Day Club packed with fun, laughter, and truth, did some outreach in the city, and gathered for a Youth Connect event at Holyrood Evangelical Church. We even made room for a bit of sightseeing along the way!

To the team: thank you for serving so faithfully and bringing such a positive spirit to everything you did. We’re grateful for every conversation, every connection made, and every seed sown throughout the week.

Praying for the students as they continue their training and step into all that God has ahead!

This Easter, we celebrate the hope we have in Jesus.

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” Matthew 28:6

The tomb is empty. Jesus is alive. Death has been defeated. And because of that, hope is real.

Not just something we think about at Easter, but hope we can know and live in day by day.

We long to see every young person come to know that hope for themselves; taking their next step with Jesus, growing in faith, and learning to follow Him in everyday life.

As we celebrate today with our families, friends, and church communities, may we take time to remember what Jesus has done for us.

Happy Easter from all of us at Word of Life UK.

On this Good Friday, we remember the cross.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” - Romans 5:8

Today is a solemn day. We remember the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus. His love shown most clearly as He gave Himself for us on the cross.

It is a day to pause, to reflect, and to recognise the weight of what was done for us.

But even as we stand at the cross, we do so with hope. Because Sunday is coming.

And because of what Jesus has done, we do not just look back in sorrow. We look forward with confidence that death is not the end.

Our prayer is that people across Scotland would come to know this love for themselves and take their next step in following Jesus.

As we remember today, may we not rush past it.

A big thank you to Musselburgh Baptist Church for inviting us to host a Nerf Party for your Friday Club last week! It was such a fun night, and so encouraging to see a great turnout.

Ever felt your heart race at the thought of talking to someone about your faith?

On Monday, David spoke with the QMU Christian Union about first contact.

Fear is completely normal. But when we lean into faith over fear, we see God has already been creating opportunities we never imagined.

David shared some practical conversation guides and introduced the cause circle- simple tools that transform moments into natural connections to help continue the amazing work of QMU’s CU.
