It is May, and for farmers that means silage season.

This year the weather caused real concern. Heavy rain from January made it difficult to spread slurry and fertiliser, and without dry ground good silage seemed impossible. But the dry weather finally came, the ground dried up, and the farmers got the silage cut.

It reminds us of Genesis 8:22 — “Seedtime and harvest… shall not cease.” God is in control, and we can trust Him.

Life can feel the same. Sometimes our plans seem ruined and we think we’ve missed our chance. Joseph in the Bible faced rejection, false accusations, and prison, yet he later said, “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” (Gen. 50:20)

What looks like a setback can become part of God’s plan. Delays are not wasted. Just like the farmers still got their silage cut, God’s promises still stand.

No matter how things look, trust Him.
