Older Section

Liz was organising the girls badge tonight “Summer” and she chatted with them about the 4 different seasons and what we all liked and disliked about each of the seasons.

As a craft the girls had to decorate a black plant pot and then put some flower seeds into each one - we are hoping they grow into beautiful bright coloured flowers - see pictures.

After the girls played a game of netball which got very competitive.

Many thanks to Liz for arranging and to Megan, Ellie and Chloe for their help too.

We also had the joy of having Chloe’s daughter Everlyn down to say hello tonight - she will be 1 year old next weekend - where has that year gone!

They all finished by saying a Thank You God Prayer.

Paige brought along a friend tonight Parla who we hope may join us.

Younger Section

Megan was in charge of the badge tonight “Helpful People” and she first of all chatted to the children about how you wash your hands, clean your teeth and exercise - all things that keep you well and healthy.

She then showed the children a film about Jesus healing the Paralysed Man.

As a craft they had to make a Helper Badge, design a helper e.g. Doctors, Nurses and Dentists - they wrote on a hand how they could help people themselves - see pictures.

They finished by playing lots of games and then they all said a Thank You God Prayer.

Many thanks to Megan for teaching this badge and to Ellie, Liz, Claire, Catherine, Scarlett and Paige for helping her too.

We were blessed tonight in welcoming another new girl - 4 year old Pollyanna who I am sure will be an asset to the group.

Older Section :

I took the girls for their next badge called “Summer.”

For week 1 we discussed what Summer meant to each of us and what we loved about the sunshine and how we could make people happy.

On a picture we thought of ways that we could make people feel glad and happy and then as a craft we made sun catchers using beautiful glass charms that will look lovely n the sunlight - see pictures.

The girls then played some games and said their thank you prayers.

Many thanks to Megan, Liz and Claire for their help too.

We were also very happy to welcome Valli McAdam who asked if she could join our company as a leader which we were really happy to accept - a valuable asset to our company and she got on well with the girls.

They designed their own house using felt tip pens and different types of pasta shells and spaghetti - see pictures.

The girls were very lively and noisy tonight, but seemed to really enjoy themselves.

Friday, 6th February, 2026

My apologies this is late but I went on holiday next day 7th and am still away.

I continued with the younger ones badge of “Our Bodies” and the last sense of TOUCH.

I showed a video of how Jesus touched a l***r and he was healed and then I talked for a while on this story.

With a bag of different items to touch the girls then had to guess what was in my bag just by a quick touch.

As a craft I asked the girls to design a picture using lots of different items such as shells, fluffy balls, feathers and wooden sticks - when they finished they were told to take them home and ask family if they could identify the objects used in their creation by touch only - see pictures.

We finished with games and prayers.

Thank you to all my helpers tonight : Liz, Megan, Catherine, Milly, Katrina and Scarlett.

Milly continued the cooking badge with the older section by making Pizzas - see pictures - they looked amazing.

Many thanks to Liz and Megan for helping Milly.

Another fun filled evening.

Younger section:

Liz continued with the younger girls by talking about another one Our Bodies senses : Smell.

They looked at a You Tube video where they were singing about Smells.

As a craft they coloured flowers and then folded them down so that when they got them home and put them in water they would open up as a flower - see pictures.

The girls then played some games and finished in Prayer.

Thanks to Liz for organising tonight and to Ellie, Megan, Catherine, Milly, Claire, Katrina, Scarlett and Madison for all their help and support too.

Older section:

Ellie continued with the older section by teaching them how to cook Cookies.

They were given the recipe and allergens list and then separated into 2 groups to make their own specially decorated Cookies - the smell was amazing and they looked and tasted good too - see pictures.

Many thanks to Ellie for organising tonight and to Megan, Liz, Chloe and Milly for their help and support too.

After the cookies were done we sang Happy Birthday to Katrina who will be 18 on 4th February and we gave her a card, a gift voucher and a chocolate cake.

The evening was finished in prayer.

Younger Group

Milly continued their badgework of “Our Bodies” by talking about SIGHT.

She showed the girls the bible story of Jesus healing the blind man on the Chrome Book and then chatted about what it is like to be blind.

As a craft the girls had to write “My Name Is ……” in braille - see pictures.

For their games the girls had to complete an obstacle course blindfolded and then describe a picture to their partner.

The evening finished in prayer.

Many thanks to Milly for organising tonight and to Liz, Megan, Ellie and Katrina for helping.

Older Group

Megan continued with their badge - “Cooking” by teaching the girls in groups of 5 to make home made Chicken Nuggets.

After getting them to wash their hands and reading the recipe with allergens attached Megan then asked them to cut the chicken into shapes that they wanted, put in a plastic bag and then added egg, bread crumbs and whatever spices they wanted to add - see pictures.

While some were cooking the others played games with Ellie.

The girls love cooking and this was the 3rd week of their badge and we hope that they have learnt some new dishes.

We all finished together in prayers.

Many thanks to Megan for organising tonight and to Ellie, Liz and Milly for helping.

We are also blessed to have Madison and Paige helping the younger girls each week.

Yet again a great week.

Friday, 16th January, 2026

Younger group ….

Claire continued with their badge “Our Bodies” and this week she was teaching them about “Hearing.”

Claire taught the girls some sign language and then as a game they had to guess what they were hearing on the laptop - which proved quite difficult for them.

She then, as a craft got them to make wind chimes - they were very colourful - see pictures.

After they had played some games the girls were then sat down again and shown the bible story about the little boy called Samuel being called by God - 1 Samuel Ch.3:1-19.

The evening finished in prayer.

Many thanks to Claire for organising tonight and to all my other helpers : Ellie, Megan, Liz, Milly and Katrina.

Older group ….

Liz was organising the older girls tonight and continued with their “Cooking Badge.”

She gave them all the recipe for Spaghetti Carbonara with all the ingredients, how to make and allergens included.

They did the cooking in groups of 4 which was easier in the limited space in the kitchen and they all had their jobs to do in making the dish.

The finished meal looked really good and smelt lovely - see pictures.

Well done Liz for organising tonight and to all the other leaders that helped : Ellie, Megan, Milly and Chloe.

The evening finished with some games and prayers.

Thank you everyone - a good night again.
