Thank you so much to everyone who supported our Christmas Present Appeal. The local community has been so receptive to the appeal and the families we have helped have been so thankful for your support. The special memories and moments that have been
created will be life-long. Let’s pray that in every act of giving hope was revealed and the love of God radiated through our sharing, not just at Christmas time but everyday as we journey through life together with the Saviour.

The Salvation Army has a proud history of providing practical, emotional and spiritual support for those serving in the armed forces and their loved ones. We always enjoy hearing veterans speak of how a cup of tea served from a Salvation Army Emergency Response vehicle or a doughnut handed out by a Salvation Army 'Doughnut Dolly' provided some comfort and a taste of home whilst serving in challenging conditions. And so it was a privilege to be present at Merton's Armed Forces Day event today and serve veterans, current personnel, cadets, scouts and local people refreshments.

Hannah Carr came to us as a Salvation Army Officer Cadet as part of her training to become a full-time Christian minister. She leaves us today as a valued and loved member of Mitcham Salvation Army and Omnibus family.

Hannah, we're thankful for the energy, joy and dedication you've given whilst working alongside us. For the waffles warmed up, pancakes prepared, drinks made, lollies dished out and most importantly, for your enthusiastic engagement with our local young people; thank you!

From all of us at Mitcham Salvation Army, we wish you all the very best for your future ministry in The Salvation Army. Know that whilst you might be leaving Mitcham, you'll always be part of the Mitcham family!

Mitcham Carnival 2025, you've been an absolute joy! We're so utterly proud of our community for coming together and having a bus load of fun in the process. Well done Mitcham! ❤️

As we reflect on this great community event, we want to thank Merton Council for putting the event on, the organisers for delivering such a great (and safe) event, other charities and community groups for pitching up their stalls, everyone who came and engaged with our family-friendly activities and to the volunteers, particularly our own for all they did to help make today such a fabulous day!

The Omnibus will be out as normal in Mitcham Town Centre on Tuesday and Friday of this week, opening at 10am on both days. Pop by and pop in! You're welcome on board!

We'll be parked up with the doors open between 11am-6pm, ready to welcome people on board! With lots of free family-friendly activities on board as well as outside the bus, we're sure it's going to be a load of fun and something not to be missed!

☀️ If you do plan on attending tomorrow, be prepared for the hot weather.
🚗 Parking is on a first come, first served basis and so spaces may be limited. We advise using public transport or walking.
