A song for Candlemas, 40 days after Christmas, the day when Mary and Joseph took 6-week-old Jesus to the Temple. Simeon and Anna saw Jesus and recognised with great joy that He was God's long-promised Saviour, the light to the nations. We have been overwhelmed by the kind, thoughtful and encouraging messages sent to us by so many friends, and comments left on our Facebook posts. We are feeling all the love and support. Thank you.
Thank you, also, for all the prayers from individuals, our local Heylipol church friends, church families from our Baptist Union, from around the country and beyond... so powerful for us.
Huge thanks go to our island emergency services... to the police and to our wonderful volunteer fire service, who thought nothing of coming out on Christmas Day night... not the start to Boxing Day they would have expected... what a team!
Thank you to you all... it means so much to this wee island church family.
