How are your grass heads doing? 🌱

Here are ours from Holiday Club, “Journey of a Lifetime” 2026. Just look at how much they have changed and flourished since then, just as we do when we follow Jesus.

What a fantastic third day we had at Holiday Club! On Day 3 of our Journey of a Lifetime, we explored how meeting Jesus can change lives.

We heard the Bible story from Luke 19:1–10, where Zacchaeus climbed a tree to see Jesus. Through the story, we discovered that Jesus noticed Zacchaeus, welcomed him, and changed his life in a wonderful way.

The children thought about their own journeys by feeling tree bark and adding leaves to our tree, remembering that life can feel rough or smooth, but God is always with us. They also enjoyed four activity stations: games, noticing God, Zacchaeus craft, and making grass heads as we thought about growing, changing and caring for creation.

It was a day full of creativity, curiosity, laughter and thoughtful moments as we explored how we can be open, notice God, live in a way that draws others to Jesus, and flourish as part of God’s world.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to all our wonderful helpers for making Day 3 another special part of Holiday Club!

What a brilliant second day we had at Holiday Club! On Day 2 of our Journey of a Lifetime, we thought about what it meant to choose Jesus and spend time with Him.

We heard the Bible story from Luke 10:38–42, when Jesus visited Mary and Martha. Through the story, we discovered that while there are many good things we can be busy doing, Jesus invites us to pause, listen and choose time with Him.

The children took part in our journey banner activity and then enjoyed four stations: worship games, reflection journals, bunting to help share faith, and making gift boxes as we thought about serving people in our communities and beyond.

It was a lovely time of fun, creativity, reflection and learning together as we explored how we can worship, learn, share and serve as part of our journey with Jesus.

A huge thank you to all the children, families and helpers who made Day 2 such a special part of Holiday Club!

What a wonderful first day we had at our Holiday Club on Wednesday! We began our Journey of a Lifetime as we explored what it meant to encounter Jesus together.

We heard the amazing Bible story from Luke 5:17–26, where the friends lowered the paralysed man through the roof so he could meet Jesus. It reminded us that everyone was welcome on the journey with Jesus, whether they had known Him for a long time or were just beginning to find out more.

The children helped create a banner together to show that we were all travelling together, and then enjoyed four activity stations: prayer weaving, a care station game, a Bible story craft, and making finger labyrinths to help us pray daily.

There was lots of creativity, teamwork, laughter and thoughtful reflection as we discovered more about Jesus and how we could care, pray, tell and challenge injustice in our everyday lives.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and to all our amazing helpers. We were so grateful for such a fantastic start to Holiday Club and looked forward to Day 2!

We hope you’ve all managed to cool down after the recent hot weather! We had a great time at Messy Church on Saturday. With the World Cup and other sporting events in full flow, we explored what it means to be on Jesus’ team and had lots of fun along the way!
