Assalamualaikum. On the 7th of March, 2020 (Saturday), we have organised a Qiyaam after Isha Salah @ 7:15 P.M and it will run until 12:00 A.M at Oak Road Mosque FOR BROTHERS AND SISTERS (INCLUDING FAMILIES).

The main reason behind this event is to increase our knowledge of Islam and to help build the bond and love for each other which will enable us to find the best of friends in the best of places. It will also allow for an opportunity for parents and children to have fun together and build a deeper connection not only between themselves, but also with the mosque.

Please make sure that you attend this programme and be sure to bring your children and/or friends with you. This event is the first of many but we need brothers, sisters, uncles, aunties and family members of all ages to come out in numbers. The night will consist of thought provoking reminders, discussions, group tasks (maybe a bit of acting...), tahajjud in congregation, quiz and food with activities for all. In order for us to to tackle the issues we face in our society, we need to ensure that we the society get together and build stronger relationships to help guide our youth towards the straight path.

Salaam followers! Seerah class is back on as usual this week. Come down to oak road masjid at 7pm to learn about the life of the greatest man who ever walked the face of this Earth! This class is suitable for all ages as we can all learn from the life of the prophet salallahu alaihi wa sallam!
Please bring the youth down especially as the circle will be followed by our regular youth club until 9pm in sha Allah.

Salaam followers! An importance announcement to make. There will be *NO SEERAH CLASS* today as a brother has organised his daughters aqiqah in the masjid. In sha Allah the classes will resume as normal next week.

Please do attend and bring anyone you know, regardless of their age. The seerah benefits people of all ages 👌

As salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu dear followers!

Alhamdulillah, through His rahma, Allah had blessed some brothers with the opportunity of participating in our monthly night programme last night. The night began with a beautiful reminder about the lessons learnt from the life of Yusuf alaihi salam. A reminder was then given by the imam on the ettiquettes of the masjid.
The brothers were then split into groups to participate in beneficial workshops for how to incorporate Islamic principles in our day to day lives. We then had some delicious, hot food, followed by our quiz.
A few brothers remained behind for tahajjud and left after fajr salah.

Alhamdulillah, these events are a wonderful opportunity to bond with like minded individuals, who yearn to seek the pleasure of Allah and want their hearts to be connected to the masjid!

Please do attend our regular circles, youth club and weekly activities to build the bond of brotherhood and keep yourselves closer to the deen.

UKIM Youth Luton have joined many masaajid in Luton to take part in 'The Big Clean' this Saturday in sha Allah. If anyone is interested to take part, please comment below, or message us. This is an initiative started by the masaajid around Luton to benefit the local community. The hadith below shows that cleaning the streets is a charitable act that pleases Allah!

On the authority of Abu Huraira who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him said), “Every small bone of everyone has upon it a charitable act for everyday upon which the sun rises. Bringing about justice between two is an act of charity. Helping a man get on his mount, lifting him onto it or helping him put his belongings onto it, is a charitable act. A good word is a charitable act. Every step you take toward the prayer is a charitable act. And removing a harmful thing from the path is a charitable act.” (Recorded in al-Bukhari and Muslim)

As salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu dear followers!
An important announcement to be made. The timings for the youth club that we organise in the masjid on a weekly basis has changed. Due to popular demand, it has been suggested that we do our seerah class and youth club on the same day.
So we've made the decision to continue our seerah class after asr salah on Saturday's, which will last around 30-40 mins. Immediately after, we will do the youth club, which includes the following:
Free snacks!
Table tennis
Darts
Board games
Socialising
(PlayStation soon to be added in sha Allah)

Please do come down and attend. The seerah class especially is for all ages. The youth club is targeted for young Muslims as we cater activities for varying age ranges. Alhamdulillah our attendees range from around the age of 10 years old to 25! So EVERYONE is welcome. Please message us for any.

Our masjid is a hub for the community and aims to attract people of all ages and ethnicities.
