On the morning of Sunday 14th June there will be an opportunity to mark Pride Month in a family friendly act of worship at the Chapel, starting at 11am (you can arrive anytime from 10.30am) - there will be refreshments available and activities to do - this will be led by local preacher, Karen Wormald.

Then on Sunday 28th June the congregations from Wymeswold and East Leake will be joining with the four congregations in the Melton area for a joint service at Sandy Lane Methodist Church in Melton Mowbray which will start at 10.30am - this will be led by our minister, Rev Nina Austin. It's always a joy to gather together and support and encourage each other - everyone is very welcome.

At our June Coffee Morning there will be the opportunity to make rainbows in various crafts as we mark Pride Month and remember that we are an inclusive community that is welcoming to everyone.

Do come along and join us on 6th June between 10.30am and 11.30am.

Come and join our friendly Warm Welcome community on Tuesday afternoons at the Chapel (1.30pm to 3pm).

There's cake and hot or cold drinks (even ice cream lollies occasionally!); a jigsaw to help with; lots of chat; and you could bring your favourite craft to do as well.

Toys and games for pre-schoolers are always available - and on the first and third Tuesdays of the month there will be 'Minifish' craft activities with a story and maybe even a song!

As this month is Pride month there will also be the opportunity to create rainbows in different crafts as we celebrate that our inclusive community provides a welcome to everyone.

Come and join us at the Chapel on Friday (22nd May) for a lovely evening of music presented by Concorde Choir.... Into Summer - songs you know...and a few new ones!

The event starts at 7.30pm.

Entry by donation (suggested minimum £5) - this is a fundraising event to help us cover the cost of installing a brand new stairlift to ensure our premises remain accessible to all into the future.

Light refreshments will be available.

Here are the details of Methodist Worship opportunities in May...

United Holy Communion will be led by Rev Pat this coming Sunday (10th May), starting at 11am, but come along from 10.30am for a cuppa first!

Our Lay Pastor, Eleri, will lead us in a celebration of our Chapel Anniversary on 24th May, also at 11am - this will be a less formal type of service, come along and see for yourself!

On 31st May we will be joining with our Methodist friends from around the area for a Circuit Service at Christchurch Methodist Church in Shepshed, starting at 10.45am. These are always joyful occasions when we raise the roof with singing and share inspirational stories - if you would like to come along and need transport please do get in touch.

Looking forward to seeing you at our weekly Warm Welcome drop in this afternoon (Tuesday 5th May, 1.30pm to 3.00pm) - do come along and enjoy the company (and the cakes!).

This is one of the weeks when there will be special activities for young children so if you have little ones why not bring them along to see what's going on - and have a cuppa and a chat at the same time.

This Sunday (26th April) Rev Kim Shorley, from the Northampton Methodist District Mission Team, is coming to lead worship at the Chapel and tell us more about the FEAST project - Friends Exploring And Sharing Together.

Come along and find out more about new and different ways of being 'Church' and share in informal, creative worship. Refreshments will be available.

All, of any age, are very welcome. The service will start at 11am and last around an hour, but you can turn up anytime from 10.30am.

Advance notice of the first of a series of fundraising events coming up at the Chapel - mostly to help cover the cost of the replacement stairlift we had installed recently to ensure equality of access to our meeting room upstairs.

On Saturday 2nd May - come and browse the craft stalls at our Spring Fayre between 10.30am and 12.00noon - there will be the opportunity to enjoy a drink and some homemade cake too!

All very welcome.
