Join us in a prayer ahead of exam results, shared by Genesis Padgett, Youth President 2025/2026 🙏

Loving God,
We thank you for all our amazing young people who are awaiting their exam results, at whatever stage they are at.
Lord we pray that they get the grades they deserve and will know to seek you in their rejoicing.
Lord we also pray for those who may not quite get the results that they desire, but we pray that they know their grades do not define them, only your love does.
Lord we thank you for your patience and your guidance at these times.
Amen.

The Methodist Conference 2026

The new President and Vice-President begin their year in office.

The Methodist Conference has elected and inducted the Revd Mark Slaney to serve as President and Caroline Stead to serve as Vice-President. The induction marks the start of their year in office.

Join us in a prayer for Windrush Day 🙏

Dear God of a travelling people,
you have shown that you are not confined
to one terrain of the globe –
That wherever we travel, God
We find you with us on the journey.

Sending God of the Windrush generation,
Our grandparents travelled from the West to the East
From the tropics of sun and fruit and water
to the ‘deep and crisp and even’;
Sometimes to frosty welcomes,
sometimes finding generous kindness.

Itinerant God, moving where you will,
Pillar of cloud and fire – keep our attention
Fixed on the movement of your Spirit,
Pitching where we are needed, may we bring joy and peace,
Embodying your grace in every interaction,
Witnessing to Christ, our Lord.

Faithful God, as you sustained the Windrush generation
On the violent seas of hostility or indifferent invisibility,
So sustain this succeeding generation
With sails that catch the winds of your Holy Spirit,
May we be steadied by your integrity, wisdom, truth and love
On the next leg of our journey.
Amen.
