We are saddened to learn of the passing of The Rev'd Canon Dr William Henry Taylor, who served as Vicar of St Peter's Church, Ealing from 1991 to 2000.

Fr William dedicated many years to ministry across the Church of England and will be remembered by those whose lives he touched through his pastoral care, faith and service, particularly during his long ministry as Vicar of St John's, Notting Hill.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all the congregations and communities he served.

May he rest in peace.

Yesterday, we were delighted to celebrate St Peter's Day, giving thanks for our patron saint and for our church's continuing witness in the heart of our community.

It was a particular privilege to welcome The Very Revd Michael Tavinor, Dean Emeritus of Hereford Cathedral, whose thoughtful and inspiring sermon challenged and encouraged us as we reflected on the life and ministry of St Peter.

We were also honoured by the presence of so many distinguished guests, including Mr Richard Kornicki CBE DL, Deputy Lieutenant for Ealing representing His Majesty The King; The Worshipful the Mayor of Ealing, Cllr Faduma Mohamed; Dr Rupa Huq MP, Member of Parliament for Ealing Central & Acton; Steve Pound, MP for Ealing North (1997–2019); Cllr Julian Gallant, Cllr Sean Hanrahan and Cllr Adam Keenan, representing Ealing Broadway Ward; and Cllr Mark Saunders, representing Hanger Hill Ward.

Our thanks also go to The Revd David Neno, Vicar of St Peter's, and to everyone who helped make the celebration such a joyful and memorable occasion.

It was a joyful morning at St Peter's yesterday as we celebrated the ordination of the Reverend Susan Peatfield to the priesthood. We give thanks for her ministry and this important step in her vocation.

An (early) Candlemas Barn Dance on Saturday night, which was great fun, Education Sunday yesterday (attended by pupils from Ada Lovelace School who sung brilliantly) and tonight we're hosting the Ealing Deanery Synod. A busy few days at St Peter's!
