🌙 – Day 17: Intentions

Assalamu aleykum warahmatullahi wabarakatu all

Ramadan is approaching us faster and faster Allahumma balighna Ramadan.Rabbana taqabbal minna, innaka anta sameeul aleem.

One of the best things we can do as we prepare for this blessed month is to set our intentions right. The Prophet ï·ș said:
"Actions are by intentions, and every person will have what they intended."
Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim (1907)

So make sincere intentions now:
Intend to read Quran consistently this Ramadan, even if it is one page after every prayer.

Intend to give charity regularly, even if it is small.

Intend to help someone in need.

Intend to pray tahajjud, even if it is just two rakahs.

Intend to make sincere dua.

Intend to stay away from sins and distance yourself from what displeases Allah.

But remember, do not just say the intention for the sake of reward. Mean it. Let it come from your heart. Allah sees your sincerity before He sees your actions.
By sincerely wanting to do good and striving to stay away from evil, you are already preparing your heart for Ramadan.
May Allah help us purify our intentions, increase us in good, keep us away from wrongdoing, and accept from us. Rabbana taqabbal minna, innaka anta sameeul aleem.

#16 – Small, Easy Good Deeds

Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh all.

One of the easiest ways to earn immense rewards is through small, simple actions — like sharing a Qur'an verse, a hadith, or a beneficial Islamic reminder.

How hard is it to press the "share" button and spread an authentic Islamic post or lecture with your family, friends, and community? It takes only seconds.

Yet imagine the reward. Every time someone reads it, reflects on it, or acts upon it — you receive the same reward as them. SubhanAllah. What immense mercy from our Rabb.

The Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him said:

"Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward similar to the one who does it."
Sahih Muslim

As Ramadan approaches, let us ask ourselves:
What beneficial, authentic reminders can I share today so others can benefit — and I can benefit too?

Let us take advantage of these easy good deeds that can help us in this world and the next.

Allah help us all to share and engage in good deeds.
Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka anta sameeul aleem. đŸ€Č🌙

#15 – Good Character and Conduct

One of the greatest qualities that Allah loves is good character and conduct. This involves having good and pleasant manners, being kind, considerate, honest, fair, and just in the way we deal and interact with our fellow human beings, whether they are family, friends, colleagues, our bosses, neighbours, or strangers.

The Prophet ï·ș told us that nothing is heavier on the scale than good character and conduct. SubhanAllah, let us think about that for a moment. He ï·ș also said:

“The ones who are closest to me on the Day of Judgement are those with the best character.”

As Ramadan gets closer and closer, let us reflect on our own character. How are we with others? If our character is not the ideal one, we need to reflect and try to change our ways, become kinder, more respectful, fairer, more honest, and more compassionate.

None of us are perfect and we can never be perfect. We are human beings, only Allah is perfect. So do not be too hard on yourself, just become aware of how you treat others.

Avoid swearing, being mean or rude. Avoid being arrogant, mocking, or belittling others. Let us always think: how would we like to be treated? How would we feel if others treated us the way we treat them? The answer to that tells us if we need to change our behaviour and improve our conduct with others.

May Allah help us all to have the best of character.

Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka anta sameeul aleem.

#14 - Istikharah

Asalamu aleykum warahmatullahi wabarakatu all.

As we prepare to enter Ramadan, if there is something you are asking Allah for—or something you are considering as a goal—whether it is marriage (marrying a specific person), a job, choosing a subject to study, or traveling to a certain country—whatever it may be—pray Istikhara and ask Allah for guidance. Then trust Allah and accept His decree for your life, knowing that Allah subhanahu wa taala only chooses what is best for you.

This is not easy. In fact, it is one of the hardest things to do: Accepting that what we hoped for may not happen. But Allah, out of His immense mercy, does not leave us struggling with that pain.

In the dua of Istikhara, Allah has included this beautiful request: “Grant me what is better for me, wherever it may be, and make me pleased with it.” SubhanAllah—Allah knows our hearts and knows that we may feel sadness if the outcome is not what we hoped for, so He has already taken this into account and given us a dua to help us find peace and contentment.

Alhamdulillah always.

| Day 13 –Forgiveness

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh all.

As we get closer and closer to Ramadan, one of the best things we can do is reflect on those we may need to forgive. I know this is not always easy, especially when we have been hurt or wronged.
But Allah encourages us to forgive and asks us in the Qur’an:
Let them pardon and forgive. Do you not love that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.
(Surah An-Nur 24:22)

We are all human beings, and we all fall short in one way or another. This does not mean it is okay for others to wrong us, nor for us to wrong others. Indeed, Islam gives justice to the one who has been wronged. Allah tells us:
“The recompense of an evil is an evil like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation—his reward is with Allah.”
(Surah Ash-Shara 42:40)
What Allah is calling us to is to pardon, and the reward for doing so is immense. The Prophet ï·ș said:
No one forgives except that Allah increases him in honour, and no one humbles himself for Allah except that Allah raises him.
(Sahih Muslim)

So before we enter Ramadan, think about those who may have hurt you or done you wrong, and see if you can find it in your heart to forgive them for the sake of Allah.
One way to help with this is to reflect: What if you were the one who wronged or hurt someone and now regret it? Wouldn’t you hope to be given a chance to be forgiven?
And what if, by choosing to forgive, Allah forgives your sins, elevates your status, and grants you Jannah—wouldn’t it be worth it?

Allahumma balighna Ramadan, Rabbana taqabbal minna, innaka anta sameeul aleem.

– Make Dua for Others

Assalamu aleykum warahmatullahi wabarakatu all.

One of the strongest ways to have our duas answered is to make dua for others.
Whatever need you have, whatever wish is in your heart, make dua for someone else. Even better, make dua for more than one person. The more people you remember in your dua, the more barakah there is.
The Messenger of Allah said:
The supplication of a Muslim for his brother in his absence is answered. At his head is an angel appointed. Every time he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel says: “Ameen, and for you the same.”
— Sahih Muslim
SubhanAllah, how powerful is that. An angel making the same dua for you every time you sincerely make dua for someone else.
So whether you are seeking marriage, children, a job, success in exams, healing from illness, or good health, make dua for others who are in the same situation. And watch how Allah blesses you in return.
The Messenger of Allah also said:
None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.
— Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim
What better way to live this hadith than by making dua for others.
And what better time than in the month of Ramadan, the month of mercy, love, forgiveness, and compassion.
Start now. Make a list of people you know whose needs have not yet been met, and sincerely make dua for them. Make dua also for the world at large, for peace, justice, the needy, the struggling, and those who feel alone.
We may not always be able to help others with money, but we can always help them with dua. Dua is free, yet it has the power to change destinies, remove hardships, and bring relief.
May Allah accept from us all. Ameen.
Rabbana taqabbal minna, innaka anta sameeul aleem.

| Day 11 – Sadaqah

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh all.

One of the beautiful acts we can engage in, an act that brings immense blessings, removes hardships, protects us from calamities, and increases the chances of our duas being answered, is giving sadaqah.

It does not matter how big or small the amount is. What truly matters is the intention, the sincere intention to help those in need, the poor, the struggling, the forgotten.

Many of us wait to give sadaqah until Ramadan. But what if we start now?
Even if it is small, give only what you can afford.

Even better, try making it a regular charity, such as a monthly donation, so it becomes something you do naturally, without hesitation. Imagine the amount of good deeds, blessings, and reward you would be accumulating.

In reality, when we help others, we are helping ourselves. And what feeling is better than knowing you eased someone’s hardship?

Before Ramadan begins, start thinking about what you can give, so that when Ramadan arrives, giving feels natural. And of course, give more in Ramadan if you are able.

None of us knows if we will live to see Ramadan. But if we give sadaqah now, the reward is already reaching us. Allahumma balighna Ramadan. Rabbana taqabbal minna, innaka anta sameeul aleem.

| Day 10 – Dhikr

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh everyone.
Alhamdulillah, we are now around three weeks away from the blessed month of Ramadan, in shaa Allah. Allahumma ballighna Ramadan. Rabbana taqabbal minna, innaka anta sameeul aleem.

Making dhikr is one of the greatest ways we can remember our Rabb and earn immense rewards at the same time, alhamdulillah. Allah, in His mercy, has taught us easy forms of dhikr with huge rewards attached to them. What a beautiful way to begin preparing for Ramadan than by engaging in the remembrance of Allah subhanahu wa ta‘ala.
Start small now and continue adding daily, so that, in shaa Allah, when Ramadan begins, you are already accustomed to making dhikr and can earn the multiplied ajr that comes with this blessed month.
May Allah help us all and make it easy for us to engage in abundant dhikr daily.
Rabbana taqabbal minna, innaka anta sameeull aleem.

— Reading the Qur’an

Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatu all.

As we get closer and closer to Ramadan, let us begin increasing our recitation of the Qur’an so that when the blessed month arrives, we are already accustomed to reading it. This will make it easier, in shaa Allah, to read more surahs and even aim to complete the entire Qur’an.

Do not worry if you do not manage to finish it all—what truly matters is that we try to read as much as we can. The reward for reading the Qur’an is immense, and imagine reading it during the month of Ramadan, when rewards are multiplied many times over! Alhamdulillah always.

Remember, the Qur’an will be a companion to the one who used to read it, and it will argue on his or her behalf. SubhanAllah—look at the incredible rewards that come with reading the Book of Allah.

May Allah help us all to read His Book every single day of our lives and to earn the great rewards that come with it in this dunya and the akhirah.

Rabbana taqabbal minna, innaka anta sameeul aleem.

– Thinking well of Allah 🌙

Assalamu aleykum warahmatullahi wabaraktu all

SubhanAllah, we have started week 2 to our , alhamdulillah Ramadan is getting closer and closer to us. Allahumma balighna Ramadan. Rabbbana taqabbal minna,, innaka anta sameeul aleem.

One of the best ways to prepare ourselves and make the most of the blessed month of Ramadan is to be optimistic, positive and think well of Allah subhanahu watala.

How can we do this?

By expecting good things from Allah, believeing that he subhanahu watala will forgive our sins, have mercy on us, grant us our duas and requests. By turning to him in hope and having good expectations we look forward to making duas to Allah subhanahu watala, we wait in positive expectancy that he will help us, protect us and guide us.

How can we learn to think well of Allah subanhau watala and how can we increase our positive expecations of him?

By learning about the grear rahma of our Rabb, his extreme generosity his absolute power to be able to do anything and everything.

Before Ramadan starts, try your best to read and learn about Allah's amazing mercy, his beautiful names and increase your duas, ask him subhanahu watala for whatever you need or desire as long as they are halal and have great expections that he subhanahu watala will respond to your duas in the best way possible for you.

Alhamdulillah always ❀

| Day 7 – Tahajjud 🌙

Ramadan is getting closer and closer to us, in shaa Allah. Make the niyyah (intention) from now that you want to wake up and pray Tahajjud in the blessed month of Ramadan. It is one of the best times to pray Tahajjud and to have our duas answered.
Start practising Tahajjud now, even if it’s just once a week, to help prepare yourself so you can make the most of it when Ramadan begins.
Imagine yourself making dua in the last third of the night during Ramadan—pouring your heart out, telling Allah ﷻ all your dreams, wishes, and needs. What an incredible opportunity. What an immense rahmah from Allah.
Try your best to pray Tahajjud in Ramadan, even if it’s only on some nights. And aim to pray in the last third of the night during the last 10 nights, as there is a high chance that Laylatul Qadr falls within them—the Night of Power, when Allah decrees and writes what will happen in the coming year.
It is the night when destinies are written, and dua can change destiny. May Allah help us all to make the most of this beautiful opportunity.
Rabbana taqabbal minna, innaka anta Sameuul aleem. đŸ€Č
