What a fitting way to end the conference with a Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Mark Harold.
In his homily on the disciples on the road to Emmaus, he reminded us that even when we feel lost, confused, or far from God, Jesus quietly walks beside us, often unnoticed, just as He did with Cleopas and his companion.
As Fr. Mark said so beautifully: “When we lose our way… God walks with us, and the first thing He does is just listen.”
He continued pointing that God is not distant or impatient with our doubts, grief, or questions. He listens, He walks with us, and in the breaking of the bread, in the Holy Eucharist, He opens our eyes and sets our hearts on fire again.
May we always recognise Him in the Eucharist, in His Word, and in the quiet moments when our hearts burn within us as He speaks.
