Lord God, may we walk in love. May we walk slowly, step by step, so that we can be still in your presence. May we walk sometimes in silence, so that we can know rest and peace. May we walk with a spring in our step, and go forward with joy. May we walk gazing outwards, seeing the beauty of the world around us. May we walk looking more widely, conscious of other people and their needs. May we walk in faith, knowing that you are beside us on every path that we take. May we walk in love. Amen.

Help us, Jesus, to lean into and learn from your story; to make it our own, so justice, loving kindness and mercy may join hands around the world that God so loves. Amen.

God of the earth, the sea and the sky, As we look around us we see change and uncertainty:

The effects of the changing seasons on the work of our farmers, and the security of homes and businesses. The power of the sea on our coastline and the catch of fishing boats. The flightpaths of military aircraft pointing towards global political uncertainty. In our churches and communities too, there is change and uncertainly.

May we know your steadfast love, and that in all times and all places you are there. In the name of Christ, Amen.

This Christian Aid Week, we're shining a spotlight on Angie, an inspirational Methodist who overcame cancer and who is putting her best foot forward – walking hundreds of miles for Christian Aid. 🤝

Angie Meadley, who attends Sutton Methodist Church in Hull, has pledged to walk five miles a day in May – but overall aims to cover a staggering 350 miles.

This year’s Ordinands Testimony Service will be held in the Chapel at Methodist Central Hall Westminster, from 6pm.

All are welcome to join us to celebrate Revd Dr Joyce Popoola, before she is received into Full Connexion at Conference. Preaching at the service will be Revd Martin Turner.

Refreshments will be provided, and no registration is required.
