Children of the Lord,

Grace to you and peace from our Father through the Lord Jesus Christ Amen!
October is a month to pray for all that are in positions of authority in the secular and spiritual world. Leadership in all spheres (especially in the spiritual world) is not a small thing to be and do. Since all leaders are put in place by God, the worst thing we can do for them is to bear them in prayers at all times (ITim. 2: 1 – 5, Rom 13: 1 – 8).

In order to sharpen our leadership skills there will be a leadership seminar on Sunday October 20th to look at the role of leaders in the local church growth.
The icing on the cake will be the ordination of Minister T. Jay on this very first week into the office of a Pastor which he has been functioning in already. If anyone deserves this commendation, it is nobody but Minister T. Jay. Let us all get involve and shower him into the love of the Lord Amen!

Last but not the least, this month is a month to educate our local church about the need of having in place a team that meets occasionally to think about the welfare of their ministers. Usually, Pastors are left for God to take care of them however, God always need human vessels to work through at all times in accomplishing his work on earth including meeting the need of all His ministers.

Let him that reads this newsletter take heed to pray for leaders and do their best to take care of them in practical terms. May the good Lord bless and keep you as you do your ultimate best to build this local church.

Yours in His service

Pastor George AduPoku

MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2013

Children of the Lord,

Calvary greetings to you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen! During Israel’s journey from Egypt to Canaan, the number of the adult population became smaller and smaller and the number of the children and youth population grew more and more as they drew closer to their destination.

Our pilgrimage to the kingdom is not going to be any different. Only the adults who have a different or loyal spirit like Joshua and Caleb, who served with their whole heart are going to make it to the kingdom. The rest, for one reason or another may fall out of the procession. I pray you will be one of those who stay steadfast and unmovable in our journey as a local Church (1 Cor. 15:58). May you never get tired and weary along the road, but rather go from strength to strength (Ps 85:1-12)

In view of the above, all that we have now are our youth and children. They are our future Joshua generation who will possess the land God has demarcated for us to occupy and take over for his glory.

Hence this month of August has been set apart for our Youth as well as our children. Sunday 25th August will be their service and their day. Amen!

Remember one of the constant sins that made Moses congregation miss Canaan was the sins of murmur and complaining (1 Cor 10:1-11). Please let no parent discourage any of their young ones or complain because of our current meeting places. No one likes where we are and I wish we could leave right now. Yet we must thank God, believe him to open up a way in the wilderness and pray and search for an appropriate venue. This is not one man’s task but ours collectively.

May God abundantly bless our young ones to remain and become the strength of our future. May God bless both our youth and children and empower them by the Holy Spirit to take up our mantles. Amen.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor George Adu-Poku

MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH OF JULY 2013

Saints of God,,

Greetings of joy, peace and love to you all in Jesus mighty name Amen! Let us rejoice and be glad giving glory to the Lord for He has already seen us half way through the year 2013. May His name be praised forever Amen!

After hearing and receiving God’s word on the good soil of our heart God expects us to bring forth fruit and produce out of the word as a proof of our maturity in Christ (MK. 4: 1-20)

However, the testing ground of our maturity is not on the same side where we went through the learning process but on the other side where we are required to go through great storms of life. Now, there are two things God does for his children when they go through storms. The first is that He calms them and grant them sleep while the storms continues to blow (Ps. 127: 1-2, Mk 4: 35 -38).

The other thing God does after a while is to calm the storm and save His people out of it by issuing an authoritative command to their amazement (Mk 4: 35 -41). Irrespective of how God is dealing with your storm, it does not matter, what matters is that God is bringing you out of your storm so that you can be of help to many that are demonized on the other side whom satan has kept in bo***ge (Mk. 5: 1 -15)

It is for these numerous helpless folks that we are going to embark on our 21 days of fasting and prayer from July 1st. Beloved, it is time to win souls for Christ and pray to God to reinforce our strength by sending us labourers (Matt 4: 19, 9: 35 – 38).

It is of no use pointing out all the problems in a local church without lifting a finger to solve any of them if you are part of the problem, be part of the solution as well.

New places of worship, buildings, souls, labourers and those who are presently bound but has the capability of winning ten cities for God and on the other side but it takes humility and wisdom through fasting and prayer to capture them (II Chr. 7:12 14, Prov. 11:30, Prov. 14: 1).

Our welfare department is also on the agenda this month in terms of seeing to its effectiveness Amen!

May God grant you all grace and mercy to undertake the fast and may each participant be greatly rewarded by our good Lord.

Cheers.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor George Adu-Poku

MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE2013

Dearly Beloved in Christ,

Greetings of peace and grace to you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost Amen!

I will like to take this opportunity to appreciate the core committed few in this ministry who continually invest their time, talents, intellect, money, energy and effort to keep this ministry going. Apostle Paul took the trouble to mention names of such individuals in his ministry by way of commendation, but in order not to offend anyone, I will like to say a big thank you to such folks in our ministry for they know themselves.

To the rest of us that comes outside this core group, I will like to urge you to up your commitment since we need more devoted fellows to bring this church to a new level of course, there is more room for improvement.

The month of June is the month for our fathers in this ministry and all around the globe as we celebrate father’s day on June the 16th. Let us make this month also an outreach month specifically for men. God will help us and release men into our ministry Amen!

On this same day 16th of June, our first lady celebrates her birthday. She has done immensely well and deserves to be appreciated. I urge you to do just that and you will not go without God’s reward.

Again, our Pastors birthday comes next and I believe this is your opportunity to honourhim with financial and material things even as he has been a blessing to you spiritually. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by- Grab it (ICor. 9:7 -14, Gal. 6:6-10, ITim. 5:17-18).

Last but not the least; we will be taking our second quarterly appeal fund towards the acquisition of our church premises. We will not stop doing this until we have that place of our own.

May God Almighty who is able to make all grace abound towards us do as he has promise so that we out of abundance will give towards every good work(IICor. 8:9, IICor. 9: 8).

Stay and remain bless now and forever more Amen!

MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH OF MAY2013

Dearly Beloved in Christ,

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all Amen! (II Cor 13: 14).

As we fasted and prayed during this past month of January, we set our goal of believing God to use us and add fifty (50) more adults to us and twenty (20) more adults in our local church located in Hackney and Kent respectively. Remember, goals are set to be worked on strategically until they are achieved (Lk. 13: 31 -32, Phil. 3: 10-15).

Saints of God, the time to launch out into the deep to win souls for Christ is NOW or NEVER if we believe really in Heaven and Hell. Since charity begins at home. , this outreach must begin with an in-reach (for lack of a better world) of our own immediate family members. Take this seriously (Gen. 7: 1-16, Mark 5:1 – 20, Acts 16: 27-34).

To help strengthen us even the more to go out to win lost souls inour neighbourhood, we will be having a joint prophetic encounter meeting with Rev. Kofi Asiedu from Ghana on Sunday the 19th of May. We do need true prophetic ministry because it does strengthen ¸encourage and bring comfort to the body of Christ (ICor. 14:3).
This month is in-reach and out-reach all the way and this attempt to hit our targeted goal for the year will be crowned by the observation of what I call Operation F R A N D.
Okay, Operation F R A N D simply stands for Family Friends, Relatives and Neighbours Day. It is a day to invite anyone that falls into this category who does not know the Lord as our Lords special guest in the church of Sunday 26th to preach to them a simple gospel message of salvation over a meal or a slight refreshment.
Please give the names of those you want to invite to the prayer tower group to start praying at once and we believe by faith some if not all will be saved. Lets us all pray as if the success of these programmes depends solely on prayer and then work hard to make this dream come true as if it all dependon our hard work.
May God Almighty meet you at the point of your need as you focus on building together with Him His church and expand His Kingdom here on earth and bless you all. Cheers.

Yours in His Vineyard

Pastor George Adu-Poku

MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL 2013

Dearly Beloved in Christ,

Let us rejoice and be glad giving glory to the Lord for the great and mighty things He keeps doing for and through us every moment of the day. May His name forever be praised Amen!

If my calendar is not mis-informing me, then I understand that the Queen will be celebrating her birthday on the 21st of this month – April. That presents us with a great opportunity to pray for all in authority as they are well and truly God’s own ministers (Rom.13: 1 – 8, ISam. 12: 18, Prov. 24: 22)

It is interesting to note that God places the responsible for good government right on the shoulders of the church. It is our Christian duty to pray for both our secular and religious leaders He has set over them. As the church prays, the leaders lead in the right direction and this results in peace and prosperity for all (ITim. 2: 1-5, Hebs. 13: 17). Lack of good government or failures of leadership, is due to the failure of Gods people to pray for them.

Most important of all, as we look at present government and leadership; we must also be forecasting at our future leaders that is Our Youth. Perish the thought that a vacuum of godly leadership will be created with the passing away of our generation. There must be no gaps (Judges 2: 7-11). If we and our children choose to serve God today, then our young ones by an act of their own will, will serve God tomorrow after we are gone (Gen. 18: 17 -19, Jos. 24: 1 -15).

As part parcel of the preparation of our youth today Sunday April 21st has been set aside as our Youth Sunday. Let us pray seriously for them to know God for themselves and make God known to their peers (IChr. 28: 9-10, Eccl.12:1, 11-14).

May our understanding of Authority lead us to pray for our leaders and all that are in position of authority. May we honour and obey our leaders so it may go well with us. May we and our entire household choose to serve the Lord as Joshua did, so that with or without our children, we will continue to serve the Lord. Rise up and let your household follow.

May God Bless you all abundantly.

Yours in His Service

Pastor George Adu-Poku

MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH2013

Saints of God,

I bless you now in the name of the Lord. May the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May God lift up His countenance upon you all and give you peace (Num. 6: 22-27)

March is the month to celebrate our super Power Easter Convention as we focus on Christ’s victory on our behalf ascertained on the cross of Calvary. Our theme will be that Jesus was wounded that we may be healed (Isa. 53:4-5, Matt. 8:16-17, IPet. 2:24). This convention will be held on the week ending Good Friday 29th to Easter Sunday the 31st. It is therefore time to pray, confess and claim our healing and health -Praise God!

More so, as we observe Mothers’ Sunday March the 10th, we will take this opportunity to pray for all our sweet mothers around the globe not forgetting those in our midst. Mothers are the gateway to the earth and through mothers nations are conceived and blessed. We can never forget them (Gen 25:20-26, Hos. 12:3). Let us call our mothers (both biological and spiritual mothers) and wish them all the best and take this opportunity to honour them. At least every child in this ministry should wish their mums a Happy Mother’s Day-Amen!

Well, I remember reading this from the bible that money answerethall things. I do agree but I will like to lay the emphasis that it does answer all material things (not spiritual). We need money to lease or buy our own place of worship. Hence we will be taking our first quarterly appeal for our building fund on Easter Sunday the 31st. It shall be well and it will be a great day.

In view of all these big events ahead of us, there will be leaders and workers retreat at Pilgrims Hall, Brentwood to fast and pray for God to grant us success. Let no leader exempt him/her since the team that pray together win together. It takes sacrifice to honour the Lord like this, and God who respects sacrifice shall surely bless us in all areas of life.

He that has an ear, let him/her hear what the spirit of God is saying to us all. May God bless you abundantly and bless as many as are willing and obedient to His commandments.

Happy Mother’s Day in advance and have a great Easter celebration.

Yours in His Service

Pastor George Adu-Poku

N E W S L E T T E R - JANUARY 2 0 1 3

A month to pray for the Holy Spirit to lead us in our fasting and prayers.

MESSAGE FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR

The Manse 01/01/13
MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY 2013

Saints of God,
Grace to you and peace from the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen! Getting to the end of the year 2011 and just at the end of the beginning of this past year 2012, I have been asking the Lord and myself about practical ways that can lead to the healthy growth of our local church in all areas and departments. I had no answers until we went to one of our house group meetings in Abbey wood. Just before the meeting started I felt the Holy Spirit ministering to me and placing in my hands seven keys which when carefully understood and used can lead to the healthy growth we all yearn for. (Isa 22:20-22, Matt 16:16-18, Rev 3:7-8).

I shared these keys with you last year BUT they were not fully utilized in terms of paying heed to it and doing your part to make the growth possible. Keys are not to be thrown away. Keys are to be used daily if we are going to get into the relevant doors and have access to the goodies in the property. So what are these keys?

First, the need for us to allow the Holy Spirit to take absolute control of our life and ministry beginning with receiving of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of (Lk 24:49-15, Acts 2:1-4).

Second, the need for each one of us to walk in LOVE and FORGIVENESS and eagerly desire the gifts of the Holy Spirit (I Cor 12:4-11, I Cor 14:1).

Third, the need to embark on AGGRESSIVE EVANGELISM DAILY through the distribution of tracts, radio broadcast and most important our lifestyle, (Acts 1:8, Matt 28:18-20, Mk 16:-15-20).

Fourth, that we should go beyond our normal tithes and offerings (on the assumption that we are all doing that already) and move on into realms of sacrificed giving. (Lk 8:1-3, Acts 4:32-37, 1 Tim 6:17-21).

Fifth that we should embark on spirit filled and spirit-led praise and worship (Singing unto the Lord new songs) (John 4:32-37, 1 Tim 6:17-21).

Sixth, that each leader, member, or worker in our local church, must take his or her responsibility given to him by the Lord (not the Pastor) seriously by building his department as his own part towards the fulfilment of the overall vision. (Prov 29:18, Eph 4:11-16, Neh 4:1-6, Col 3:23-25, Col 4:12-17).

Seventh, that we should embark on the spiritual exercise of more prayer and more fasting just as the early church practised. (Matt 6:16-18, Matt 17:17-21, Acts 13:1-3).

Our focus this month is to fast and pray on as many topics as the Holy Spirit will lay on our heart but most especially that we may humble ourselves and TURN FROM OUR WICKED WAYS IN ORDER FOR GOD TO GRANT US MERCY and HEAL OUR LOCAL CHURCH AND OUR LAND. (11 Chr 7:12-16, Prov 28:13, Isa 58:1-14, Isa 59:1-2, 1 John 1:7-10, Rev 2:1-7, 8-11, 12-14, 18-29, 3:1-6, 7-13, 14-23).

Beloved, these are 7 key deposited into my hands by the Holy Spirit on Friday the 30th of December 2011. Three keys must be used as long as the tenancy last. Therefore let each one that fears the Lord Take Heed and do whatever is expected of him to build this local church of God.
May God continue to bless you abundantly as you begin to do your part and encourage stress to do likewise Amen!

Yours in His Vineyard
Pastor George Adu-Poku

EPS ONE- TRUSTING IN THE LORD.

Ps 125:1 . They that trust in the LORD [shall be] as mount Zion, [which] cannot be removed, [but] abideth for ever.

s 125:2 As the mountains [are] round about Jerusalem, so the LORD [is] round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

this is the heritage of them that trust in the lord. the psalmist is not talking about them that knoweth the lord rather them that knoweth and trust him. trusting the lord means surrendering unto him in all your ways and your thoughts. the genuine trust in the lord means " LORD IF YOU ARE NOT WITH ME, I AM FINISH" until we get to that point of vulnerability yo the lord our trust in him is not that perfect.
that is to say that, if you still have any other option apart from God and his plans for you, you are still not there yet. Lets pray into the trust in God that we shall be like the mount zion.....

PRAYER: Lord help me to pray myself to this point in my christian faith. God richly bless you for been a reader and a doer.
